Plaza Regency Hotels

Wouldn't say its a 3*. Room stunk of drains bed not changed once on 9 days. Dirty towels taken away but no fresh ones put back in the room. Only thing I could see the cleaning maids had done was re make the bed that we had already made every morning. Floors were never cleaned bathroom was never cleaned toilet roll never filled up. If your after a quiet nights sleep don't book here.

The hotel itself has so much potential. It's a shame as many things let it down and we wouldn't stay there again. Firstly, unless you plan on partying and late nights out (until early morning), this hotel isn't for you. It was extremely noisy and full of young party people. People leaving at midnight, playing music and slamming doors, getting back at all hours. Secondly, the shower was more like a trickle from a spring. It was horrendous. We complained the first day we got there and fair enough they did someone to look at it. He replaced the shower head but that made no difference. It was the water pressure. We were on the 7th floor so if you wanted a warm shower between 7am -11am or 3pm - 6pm it was pretty non existent. Thirdly, the pool was a real let down. Extremely crowded, with no where near enough sunbeds. We thought we use the indoor pool instead but this is closed during summer... So we stayed for 5 nights and didn't get to use the pool. Next, we found a cockroach in our room. Thankfully we aren't squeemish and got rid of it but other people might have had to move. Overall, wouldn't stay there again.

Room tiny no tea making facilities had to Pay £6.50 for the privilege even though some rooms had them included full of young festival people no manners and very noisy breakfast not nice eat out most of the time even though included good point room was cleaned everyday fresh towels rooms on the website shown may not be the one you get bathroom tiny and people coming in at 6 am in the morning waking you up 6 days of pain couldn’t wait to get home

Have been going to the Plazza for the last 3 years Going for our 4th this year I have family there and this is a lovely base for visiting them The staff are exceptionally lovely, helpful and kind

The hotel is in an ideal location, on the edge of Sliema and a 15 mins walk to Spinola Bay and St Julians, taxi fare €4 if less mobile. Bus stop Is opposite hotel to get to Valletta for €2.50, we paid extra for a superior room and a sea view, and in my opinion it was the best choice. Email the hotel and request a high floor for the sea view otherwise you might get a tree view. View was amazing from our room 618. Our room was a good size, room was cleaned every day and towels/bedding changed regularly. Breakfast was a choice of cereal, fruit, bread, pastries, hot food was sausage, beans, fried egg, scrambled or boiled, bacon, and every other day was either vegetables or mushrooms or tomato. Pool was small but adequate, pool bar was good apart from not a lot of food selection. Hotel staff were friendly and professional, the only disappointment was the huge crane that was positioned directly above the pool from the building work next door. Looking up at a huge crane and concrete blocks was not ideal, noise from the building works was fine our first week but the second week was getting annoying. However overall we had a pleasant stay at the Plaza regency.

Overall very good! A really pleasant stay here. The only downside was not having a ramp for the suitcases- the steps were quite hard to use with them. But otherwise the rooms were spacious, and comfortable. Good value for money. I would recommend 😊

Staff helpful, beds comfortable, location ok but very touristy, bathroom a little mouldy, breakfast great with loads of choice, rooftop pool lovely although sunbeds very crowded. However our balcony was absolutely awful. Pigeon droppings splattered everywhere. The cleaners did clear it up daily but it was so bad we couldn't sit out. It was just disgusting. Add the odd cockroach and the view over a manky street with no sun!!! So nowhere to sit after a day sightseeing. Malta though was more than I imagined. Beautiful island with beautiful people.

Great location and service. Rooms are new and equipped with all comforts including a fridge, hairdryer, AC and multiple pillows to accommodate for softness preferences. Lost one star cause beds only have a thick duvet and no normal bedsheet. The only way to sleep comfortably is to lower the AC to freezing temperatures, which feels a waste of power and resources.
