Ao Nang Orchid Resort

It was a value for money experience. Chill and convenient due to its good location. Nice and friendly staff. Beautiful pool with fun floats to play with.

The staff will treat u like nanny. Not friendly and helpful. Arragont.

The hotel was in a great location . Staff where good upon check in . We only stayed one night and was placed in a room with a poor view . Breakfast was good with enough options . The hotel is a little on the older side but are most in Ao Nang . The hotel is in the centre of everything and only 100 metres to beach . The best thing that happened at this hotel was my partner left a watch in the bathroom upon check out . We contacted the reception desk about 1 hour after check out . The person at reception informed us the watch had been found and they would leave at reception for 4 days till we were coming back through . All went well upon pick up .

Spent 5 nights in a Superior room. As I understand it all of these rooms do not face the pool. So, expect no view if you are on the first or second floors. Overall the room was clean and spacious, one double bed and a one twin. Not too sure why but the room had a mildew smell to it. Being only myself and I didn't spend all that much time in the room during the day, I didn't think much of it; others might though. WiFi is not the best but is adequate for checking email on a tablet. Overall, I enjoyed the location, you are close to the beach and can find plenty of restaurants, shops, and tour guides within a 1 minute walk. I would stay here again but would probably reserve a better room and maybe complain about the smell.

The staff was very friendly, expecting us upon arrival with our room ready. The room was incredibly clean when we arrived, and the staff did a great job each day returning it to that state. This hotel has a great location walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and massage parlors. The pool here is nice, and the breakfast spread has hot and cold food of all different varieties.

When I checked in the reception staff had poor skills in English, the guy (Aleyah) had problems understanding what I was asking him, then a woman arrived who said she was the manager (her name is On) who also had trouble explaining my questions. When I enquired about a transfer the receptionist (Kotchapon K.) didn't understand what day and time I needed to go to the airport. My point is this, there should be someone with public relation skills and able to talk and understand English. It is supposed to be a 3.5 star resort.

We booked to stay two nights and ended up booking an extra night (directly) our 1st room wasn't that great as it seemed dated. I spoke with the reception to make them aware of the issues. Someone was sent to investigate the issues, however I think they could have done a better job. Our 2nd room was fantastic overlooking the pool area. I'd definitely stay at this property again , regardless of the small issues we faced. Overall great place, close to Ao Nang Beach and very close to shops and dining places.

Ao Nang Orchid is a very nice hotel very close to the shopping and beach at Ao Nang, Krabi. The staff was kind & helpful. Breakfast was delicious, but there were areas of the restaurant that were kind of over powered with a sewer smell. But if you just moved inside you would never notice it at all. I left my camera charger there, and although I went back several times, the staff never recovered it.

We (family with toddler) stayed in room with pool facing balcony. Rooms are decent in terms of comfort & cleanliness. The major advantage is its prime location. 5 mins walk to beach and all major shops (Family mart, 7-11 etc.) & restaurants (Thai, Indian, Italian, McD, Burger King, Subway etc.) within 5-7 mins walk. Pool is also nice & very clean. Tour travel shop is located just outside hotel and can book all major excursion from there (very reasonable rates as compared to others). Overall had a nice stay, staff was helpful and breakfast was also nice (though not that great).
