Ao Nang Orchid Resort

Probably one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel may have a nice pool and decent breakfast, but it failed miserably at the most important aspect of providing its guests with a comfortable night of sleep. The furniture in the room are dated. The room doors are so light, it slams shut with a loud sound everytime some one closes the door. Imagine that you have returned from a full day under the sun and would really appreciate a good night rest, only to be awaken in the middle of the night by the incessant door slamming noise. One of the nights, one guest repeatedly slammed the room door for a good 5 min at 2am and no hotel staff came and attended to it. For the 4 nights I've stayed there, I never had a good night sleep. I will never return to this hotel again especially with the large number of hotels around the entire area which are just within a stone throw distance away.

The hotel was was okay based on how much we paid and the service that we received. As a vacationer, I personally expect the staff at hotels/tourist spots to be more accommodating and hospitable. I unfortunately did not receive this experience. Everything seemed transactional but that might be because of the language barrier. The buffet breakfast was also okay. The plus side is that the hotel is walking distance from the boats you can ride to other islands and stops for their taxi cabs and buses. Other than that, the stay was neither good nor bad.

I loved this hotel. Everyone was very friendly. The location is perfect. Next to restaurants and shopping. 2 blocks from the beach and boats to Railay. Get a room with a view of the pool.

Stayed there 5D4N in oct'15 at pool villa. Location is great as all amentity nearby and close to beach. But a bit disappointing jacuzzi not working though hotel staff fix the problem later after feedback. Also water pool left on the floor after using rain shower due to uneven floor.

Good place to stay

Good and halal breakfast every morning. Staff is very helpful and accomodative.

we stayed for four nights the villa was not specifically a villa but a room and a balcony with pool access which was the best of all and the breakfast was hopeless no many choices and the sausages kept were not fresh also the bread had a long hair within. Over all the hotel does not seem to be like a four star we feel the hotel is over rated

Great pool for kids. Nice big room. Close to Ao Nang center. Boats a cheaper to book from the next bay. Dont forget to try Railay for different vibe.

The only two good things about this hotel is the swimming pool and the location. Rooms need rennovation and staff attitude is really bad

Negative- staff was rude to my wife when she enquired certain stuffs. No english channels on TV. Positive- Near to the beach n shopping areas. Easy to find food
