Got contacted ahead with Wechat as globalist on the needs and got upgrade to a nice corner suite when arrival. Lounge is spacious and happy hour food is more than decent. Breakfast has good varieties but would love to have more local dishes if possible. Concierge is helpful on delivering and shipping packages. Would be great if they can delivery to-go food to the room.

"Classic Grand Hyatt in Great Location"

Stayed here and find the classic marble and mahogany interiors to be timeless and elegant - if you at looking at modern earthy tones then this grand style may mot be for you. I was given an upgrade to a suite with my Globalist status and found the one bedroom suite to be very spacious with a huge bathroom. Bathing and toiletries were typical Grand Hyatt standard but what impressed me most was that this property is still very well-maintained despite the age, and the location is unbeatable as the gigantic MixC mall is just below it. Breakfast can get very busy at the restaurant and I ended up having mine in the lounge where the selection was more than enough for a simple breakfast - but I do notice that Chinese Mainlanders tend to eat a lot during breakfast and they prefer the restaurant more than the lounge with its larger selection. I also used the gym during my stay here and find it to be very sufficient – there was even a separate dance studio, where you can do yoga. Overall, I find this hotel to be very good value for money given the location and service.
