Hampton Inn & Suites - Orange Beach

This property has instant beach access which was nice.

Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing. Initially, we were assigned a room where the refrigerator was not functioning and leaking on the floor, and the television was also not working. We were subsequently moved to a different room, but this room had its own issues: the telephone was inoperable, and the air conditioning was leaking onto the floor, resulting in a wet carpet area for our entire stay. Additionally, the water to the toilet had been turned off for some reason, and we had to restore it ourselves. Overall, we were quite dissatisfied with our stay at this hotel. While the beach access is excellent, the room issues significantly impacted our experience, for the price of this hotel and the issues we faced we would not recommend this property.

Spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony.

The breakfast was outstanding the first two mornings. It was cold the third morning. The eggs, sausage, and potatoes were all cold. I should have said something but did not.

Great comfy beds! Excellent service, breakfast & great coffee! Loved the beach so close! I'll definitely be back for a longer stay!

Room was excellent with the balcony. "Liz" who was at front desk was exceptionally helpful, kind and always with a smile.

I definitely did NOT like area for smoking. I am a smoker and the only designated area was at the front of the hotel with a bench on the street. There was no place to extinguish cigarettes, ashtray or anything. Therefore, there were many cigarette butts on the ground. I have been other places where there was a nice place to smoke and put out cigarettes. I expect better from this hotel.

Breakfast over 7 days always had eggs (mini omelets ususally), some type of sausage, potatoes, cereals, waffles, boiled eggs, bread, fresh cut fruit and often yogurt. Location can't be beat, you walk out the back door, and onto Orange beach. Across the street was Publix, several restaurants and Walmart wasn't a far walk. Free parking, roomy parking garage. Always had variety of teas, hot chocolate and coffee in lobby. The king bed was comfy with a veritey of pilllows. Staff was very friendly and were always cleaning public bathrooms and main areas. Part of the outdoor pool was shaded and hot tub was shaded. Very pet friendly!

On weekends especially, it was very difficult using elevators (only one set) often had to wait a long time. The pet area is a small strip of grass in front of the hotel on the busy street-there was no other grass areas. The scrambled eggs (only served once) were inedible-I usually am ok with scrambled at most hotels. I wish there was a microwave in the breakfast area to heat up food (didn't want to go all the way to the room). Coffee was light roast.
