I went with my partner and honestly we had the best time here. The location is great in Claremont- easy to find parking. Parking was right in front of the hotel and free. There weren't too many spots in the front so not sure where the parking would be if those are full however we had no trouble ever finding parking. We didn't explore the town however we did hike mt. Ascutney and explored the area. The room was very clean and comfortable. The check in and staff were all very friendly. In the lobby there at little things you can buy if interested, some local goods. Also there is clare the cat who is very friendly! Even stayed in our room with me for about an hour. The gym and the hot tub are clean and comfortable to use. For food we went to the common man restaurant which we recommend! The food was reasonably priced and delicious. Breakfast was simple but great. Its self serve with Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches (love), muffins which were really great, and when we were there french toast. Also coffee, juice, yogurt, and fruits. Overall we love our stay here and next time we are in the area plan to stay here again!

The neighbourhood was one of the most areas of deprivation I have seen in the USA in 27 yrs of travel. The hotel was amazing and an exemplary opportunity of what can be achieved by refurbishment using old and used materials. This hotel is a beacon to what can be done, I sincerely hope this unfortunate area can rejuvenate itself and become a place where people actually want to visit and not one where people are just passing through or stopping for business. PPS you could sell T’ Shirt with the slogan “The Common Man - man crossed out & Cat written underneath” hahahah good PR opportunity?

The Hotel, the staff, the food and especially Clare the Cat were all first rate.

The breakfast was sadly mostly just processed, packaged food. We had a coffee and yogurt. Thank you.

At the restaurant they wouldn’t seat us outside although their advertisement says “outdoor patio”, and it was in the 70s F.
