Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Nice spa and wonderful large bed and well equipped room.

Spa area was a little worn out in areas, however everything worked well. Sauna and steam room were great and the pool was a lovely temperature.

"Place is tired, but clean. Staff friendly. Pool was ok but bit tired."

7.0

Breakfast was good. Place was clean. Also played the golf course which was great for the money.

Place overall bit tired. Would I stay there again if I was in the area? Don’t think so. Guinness zero was warm which was taken from the fridge. Replaced with a soft drink as all cans were warm.

Not a lot

We stayed a Saturday night. First room they gave us looked like it was out of the 1980s, tv didnt work, big deep brown stain in the bottom of the kettle. They moved us to another room which was more up to date but the chair provided had all its leatherette peeling off all over. Two weddings going on with all the associated drunken roudiness and noise. Fire alarm went off at 1.30am and we all exited the hotel into the freezing car park. Staff didnt have a clue what was going on, headless chickens with clipboards. Drunken party guests climbing on fire engines, Police had been called as members of the wedding party had been damaging hotel property. Turned out to be an electrical fault. Got up for breakfast to find the buffet items were lukewarm. 1 toaster and one coffee machine...Really One of the worst stays i had had anywhere. Told reception and they said management would ring us in a few days. Never heard anything.

"It was a decent stay but could have been better."

6.0

Good facilities and clean room with complimentary tea and coffee. Was pleased that there was also an iron and ironing board in the room (some hotels make you ask for one at reception). Grounds looked lovely.

I was there for one night and unfortunately a fire alarm went off quite late. I had just come back from a wedding so was really tired. We were out in the cold parking lot for a couple hours before it was safe to go back in. I appreciate that this was no fault of the staff or the property…probably another guest would be my guess as to the cause of the fire alarm trigger. However, there was no apology for the disruption. Some sort of compensation or future discount would have been a nice touch.

"Lovely stay ruined by the fire alarm and the lack of communication from the staff."

Lovely rooms and breakfast

Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and had to stand outside in the cold for over an hour. I am currently under going chemo for breast cancer and it made me feel very unwell. We had no update about what was going on or how long it would take and how long we would stay outside.

"not worth the money"

4.0

good location, pool

This hotel is not 4*, max 2-3*, too expensive for a room without a fridge and air conditioning, old equipment, spiders everywhere and a worn out mattress. The label was visible and the mattress was from 2011!!

"Lovely treatments place was a little shabby"

6.0

Went for a spa day. Staff were lovely and helpful, treatments were great and loved the mud spa. Unfortunately the place itself was a bit shabby, the gym floor was dirty, equipment tired and very warm in there, Changing rooms are small and floor around the pool incredibly slippy and saw no one mop/clean it all day. Pool, steam and sauna were all great. Lunch was nice and portions generous but the pasta was dripping in oil. Be aware drinks aren’t included in the spa lunch either. Shame as facilities let down the staff and the spa offering.
