The Kenwood Inn

There are many factors that go into making an Inn truly memorable. My wife and I have stayed at many wonderful B & B’s and Inns, along with premium and business hotels throughout North America and Europe. We have experienced and come to expect a very clean and comfortable room and bed, unique décor, delicious breakfasts and excellent locations. The Kenwood Inn had all those things and yet still managed to exceed our expectations. Much of this was due to the warmth and personal attention shown by the owner, Pat, and her staff (notably Barb, Alison and the remarkable chef). We made a few special requests that were immediately fulfilled. We looked forward each day to the creative gourmet breakfasts as well as the afternoon wine and home-baked cookies. We also appreciated the Inn’s convenient proximity to many good restaurants and historic sites, by foot or trolley. We liked the nearby Athena, Harvest (now 17 King) and OC Whites restaurants. Great Inns attract nice people. We enjoyed meeting other guests, many of whom were back for repeat visits, some for the 7th or 8th time! We highly recommend the Kenwood Inn and plan to stay there again during our next visit to St. Augustine.

Location, minutes walking distances from dining and attractions. Staff and owner are outstanding. Greeting was like coming to a friend’s home. Breakfast each morning was an event, a gourmet delight presented in three courses which is included with your stay.

The Kenwood Inn is our favorite getaway! It's perfect for couples or girls trips. The rooms are lovely, the service is exceptional, and it's convenient to great restaurants, shopping, galleries and historic sites. We love the fact that you park your car and walk everywhere for the weekend. Pat is the best innkeeper ever and your every need is taken care of. A delicious gourmet breakfast begins your day, followed by a yummy snack and happy hour wine in the afternoons. We were married in their lovely courtyard, and visit at least once a year. You won't be disappointed!

The best experience ever!…Stellar location with walkability to everything. And so much to see. Breakfast was over the top amazing. After our first day we were sure to plan everything around breakfast. Pat, the innkeeper ,showed such attention to detail and comfort of all the guests. We made many new friends at happy hour each afternoon at the inn. And our beautiful room had its own private sitting deck. And never a worry about cleanliness….. I strongly recommend this place. A little paint here and there would help with attention to cosmetic appearance of the bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kenwood Inn. This charming bed and breakfast is perfectly located, making it incredibly convenient to explore historic St. Augustine. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm, relaxing, and exactly what we were hoping for in a getaway. We went during the holidays and it was perfect for exploring Nights of Lights. Overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely recommend the Kenwood Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay while visiting St. Augustine.

Breakfast was a complete joke — the worst hotel breakfast I’ve had so far, and I’m not a picky person. The portions were smaller than for a child, and the dishes were pre-set with no choice at all. The first item was a croissant with a hot dog sausage — literally two bites. The next was a poor imitation of a taco, with just a few pieces of meat and an extremely heavy sauce that I could still feel for the rest of the day. There was a 30-minute gap between courses, so I didn’t even wait for the third one. If You plan to eat the breakfast there and go to explore the city- forget about it. The tap water — both from the sink and the shower — smelled bad. I understand the hotel is old, but I could hear every single noise from the room next door. I’m a heavy sleeper, and I still only managed maybe 3 hours of sleep that night. This hotel is absolutely not worth the price — completely overrated. Breakfast: a total failure.

From the warm welcome we received on arrival to the stunning decor and our beautifully appointed room, we felt pampered. Mornings started with delicious fresh-brewed coffee and a gourmet 3-course breakfast. Kenwood Inn Is truly an exceptional retreat.
