Hotel Best Semiramis

Arrived around 14:30 but our room was not available. No one explained why. Took at least another 30 mins before it was ready. The staff did provide us with cold drinks while we waited and also gave us a free pass to the Spa for our trouble. The hotel building would once have been a "Palace" but is now a little tired although not awful. The reception area is spacious with lots of glass but still somehow managed to be a little dull. The 4 main lifts were fine but there was a single lift to rear entrance of the hotel was off most of the week. This was unfortunate as we used this entrance most. The room was spacious and had two double beds which were very comfortable. The room was cleaned every day. My only real problem with the room was that the aircon didn't work. It is the type 'built in' to the structure of the building. We found the room hot and had to sleep with the balcony door open. This proved very noisy. In addition to the traffic on the road below there was a constant crashing of waves onto a disused seawater swimming pool. It is loud! Unheated pool was great, heated pool ok. Restaurant is nice and breakfast was good. Bar and entertainment was .. Meh. A bit dated for me and I'm no spring chicken, but others seemed happy enough with it. Not the most modern hotel but we enjoyed it. Staff were nice, room and hotel are clean. Yes, I would return IF they fixed the aircon which reduced it to a 7/10.

When we arrived, the reception staff were less than helpful and our room wasn’t ready, even though we arrived around 4pm. Our room was fantastic and with a very comfortable large bed and nice balcony area. Every day the maids cleaned the room spotlessly with no problems. Breakfast was good but I would advise going before 9:30, as everyone swarms in and the quality of the food goes down compared to earlier in the morning. The pool area is nice, the pool could do with an update as there are loose tiles along the bottom of the pool. I wouldn’t advise eating at the pool bar, the food was not of a good quality and the order came out wrong. Other than that the hotel is very nice and clean and I would recommend staying here.

1.Aircon not functioning well, not serving the purpose. Chose this hotel because it says with aircon. But I was sweating and can't sleep well in the night. Had wedding occasion to attend and it was so uncomfortable while dressing up. 2. Food-wise not good. The same everyday. 3. Jaccusi was not functioning. 4. Some of the reception and resto staff are rude. I phoned reception for an iron but I was hanged up 4 times. No instructions or proper explanation given to us. They are not polite. 5. Last but not the least, Sonia- cleaner was very helpful, hardworking, and cheerful, inspite of being very busy. Sonia needs to be awarded as the most hardworking and dedicated employee in the hotel. She's a best asset of the company!!!

Great location, close to downtown, shops, Lago Martianez, Loro Park. Entertainment is algo good

Parking was a problem even though there is a lot of parking in the area. The hotel was great, great location with great views and the weather is great.

Very good hotel. Everything was great. A little far from the center.

No parking.no tea or coffe in the room.tv nothing in english.

This hotel was a real surprise, the hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious with amazing views and excellent service. dinner was a little disappointing but breakfast was much better.

. This last visit was not as satisfactory as two previous ones. The unheated pool was unusable by older swimmers in winter months. No warning was given when booking of the considerable, noisy construction work in the hotel and vicinity. Also the helpful underground access to the coast road was closed because of works. Good choice of food in the dining room but it was rarely hot enough. All staff were very helpful and pleasant and the animation team very welcoming.
