Hotel Best Semiramis

In general very good stay. Big, clean and beautiful rooms. Looked forward to stay at this hotel and celebrate my 30th birthday. Was very surprised that hotel offered nothing extra for celebration, and we had to pay extra even for a tea cooker and for ironing our clothes. They have dress code at the restaurant, but no way to get your shirts ironed. You had to wait for 1 or 2 days to get your clothes. We also ordered a spa package for couple at their spa, but when we arrived they said it was full, which was a huge disappointment, as we looked forward for a relaxing celebration. The next day we went to spa, but it was very small and massage was very basic. Great dinner and breakfast. No drinks were included at the dinner. We had half board. Overall ok, but if you are looking for a good celebration, then choose another hotel.

Positives: Comfortable, smart room with balcony and stunning sea views. Good selection of food on buffet, even for vegetarians. Cook-to-order grilling / stir fry stations especially good. Spa area and internal pool well maintained. Puerto de la Cruz offers a more Spanish feel than the more touristic resorts. Negatives: VERY dated and run-down public areas. Cold outdoor pool. Charges for spa use. You can get one free pass to spa, but only if you demand it at Reception. Fairly long steep walk from centre of town. No parking on site, so you normally have to park a way down the road and walk back. Definitely not 5 star standard, facilities or service. Very elderly clientele makes it feel like you’re staying in a care home (sorry to be harsh, but honest)

Great view but we were unlucky to get a room without a view. The room was cold, the food was cold, the hot tub was cold.

View is spectacular. Nice pool. Close to restaurants.

We had a very good stay and have no complaints. The hotel was a bit dilapidated and a 3.5 star. However it was cheap relative to all the others in the area. Breakfast was good, great choice. Staff where lovely and very hard working but not enough of them. The rooms are large and clean with great views. Pillows uncomfortable as where the beds a bit. Overall a lovely hotel but we'll beyond its salad days..needs maintenance.

I can't say if the hotel is 5 star, hotel staff was certainly very good. Little facilities like tea cattle were charged at 3 euros per day. The food was almost the same every day, there were little or no options for vegetarians. Good things about the hotel are, the view is fantastic and easy walk to Port de la Cruz main market. The hotel staff were usually cheerful with few exceptions.

The hotel is very comfortable with very friendly and capable staff with very good English. the catering is to a very standard with a very wide range of choices for breakfast and dinner.

This hotel is no where near the beach, it’s states it’s 10 minutes but you are on a very steep hill and it takes about 1 hour to walk down to the beach !! The outside pool is freezing, the facilities were okay, food was just okay very basic, if you like Germans then this is the place to be in as everyone was German and the surrounding areas were all German ! On the plus the room was great and the hotel was super clean with fresh towels every day. This hotel is defo a not a 5 star hotel. Overall it was okay we won’t be rushing to go back anytime soon.
