"Relaxing"

No complaints at all. The Parador is delightful and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was in the new wing and it was si p,e but quite comfortable and loved that we could hear the river. It’s nice that the bar area offers is an alternative to the formal dining room where one can get a simple meal. It is in the outskirts of town so one has to drive into Cangas de Onis, but we liked that it was away from the tourist area.

I think this is a beautiful property. The room is spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The staffs are superb with anything I need and answer any emails' questions I have promptly. Breakfast is delicious, quality with plenty of varieties to choose. You can order different types of eggs from the kitchen. All you can drink freshly squeeze orange juice :) The service here again is excellent. Parking structure is big, area surrounding the property is beautiful.

wonderful historic place to stay. All good but I would suggest the cafeteria should advertise what food was available.We had to find a menu ourselves and it could have made more available for people wanting snacks in the daytime.

"what you expect from a Parador"

Amazing place to stay to feel like you have gone back in time. Outside of the city, but nice 30 minute walk along the river to all the action if you don’t feel like looking for parking in the city. Very convenient to all the outdoor activities of the Picos de Europa

"Great accommodations with poor food service"

We were traveling with two other couples. Service at dinner was abysmal. We sat for 45 minutes before we got water and ordered wine. The staff was working extremely hard - there just weren’t enough of them. The bar also had very few wines. We ordered several wines on list which were not available.

"Beautiful Parador"

The hotel is in a beautiful spot and was spacious and quiet. Although outside of town we appreciated being able to walk or drive into town for activities , then return to the quiet of the Parador. The staff was helpful in helping us plan our trip to the National Park.
