Parador De Cangas De Onis

Extremely pleasant stay, booked 4 nights and extended it by 2 nights. Very peaceful location . Close to the town Cangas De Onis, Picos de Europa and Ponga. Staff were very accommodating. Rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very good buffet breakfast was available. Would not hesitate coming back.

It was a very cute parador. We wandered the village nearby during the day and visited the two glacier lakes. But the covadonga cathedral tucked away with the shrine in the cave was really amazing. We then hiked the Cares Gorge the following day which was only a 40 minute drive away. This parador was notable for having small exhibits with English plaques describing the exhibits. Great stay overall.

Great location, wonderful staff and facilities, excellent room. Great place to stay at a very reasonable price.

The hotel was beautiful and relaxing. The room was confortble eith a great view. The restaurant was very good I will love to come back

A lovely hotel situated next to the river with many authentic features from when it was a monastery. Price is fairly expensive when compared with other equally good hotels

Gorgeous hotel with already lots to explore and see within the hotel area, we have booked a triple full board room. Room is comfortable and spacious, the view from our room is super. Hotel staff we have met are all nice and helpful. We have taken a walk along the river Salle which is so refreshing. But not suggest to walk from hotel to city centre due it's quite far away, especially in hot sunny day. One flaw about our stay is at dinner. One of us is vegetarian which we have confirmed with hotel twice before our trip that veggie dish selection will be available, however the pasta we have ordered was made by cuttlefish juice which is not a veggie dish. But the staff had react quick when we request and replace with a pure veggie pasta immediately.

Facility was huge but all guests had to walk thru a heated enclosed hallway to get to the part of the bldg where our rooms are. Room was lovely but Internet access was the worst we had experienced over several diff stays at much cheaper hotels along the Costa Verde. Only provided a single soap. Terrific variety of food for $18 breakfast.

We chose this hotel because we were planning on hiking the Cares River gorge. This was convenient and comfortable. This parador is historically interesting, very spacious with lovely rooms and great bathrooms. It was also very quiet at night. It is very interesting, has a courtyard, and also has a beautiful little church. The river runs below, and that was a short walk to see it. It also make a good place to explore the Picos, and Cavodonga. We were very pleased with everything. Breakfast was typical and very good. The dining room is lovely. The evening dinner was pretty good, but not great. It also has a large parking lot.

Beautiful parador great food and service Asturias is a paradise.
