The Parador de CongasDe Onis is a lovely property. We enjoyed our stay while it rained outside. The food was overall excellent. Our room which was in the old part was very comfortable.

"Beautiful landscapes, pristine hotel rooms"

Absolutely beautiful location in the mountains...there is a lovely footpath along the river directly behind the parador where we enjoyed views, saw lovely cows, etc. Staff was extremely professional, which is not totally surprising since it's a state parador but even so they were exceptionally friendly. Our room was impeccable and spacious. My advice to anyone staying here would be to take sufficient time to wander and explore the building and property. The remaining parts of the former monastery/chapel are amazing, and the entire property is full of interesting placards explaining various aspects of the building's history and the area's geography. I really enjoyed our stay.

The building is beyond gorgeous. The restoration of the old convent gives you a feeling of going back many centuries without losing and of the 21th century comfort

"Great escape..."

The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent. The only reason I didn’t give it a perfect score was that the beds were hard and being 5.5 months pregnant sleeping was difficult. Other than that it was great!

Nice hotel just outside of town. Good access to Picos De Europa and Covadonga. Our room was adequate, overlooking the front lawn and parking lot instead of the nice river/forest view on opposite side so we felt we got an inferior room because of booking thru 3rd party/Expedia.

"One of the finest places we’ve stayed in Spain..."

... while I’m sure other Paradores are equally superb as an introduction this was fantastic. Great location, wonderful bedrooms and food excellent. The staff were very helpful and the evening three course meal was for a very high standard. This was our first visit to a parador and will not be the last.
