City Life Port Hotel

We were particularly impressed by the cheerful and very helpful attitude of the staff

the location is ideal for travel - walk to the harbor and to the bus station. The hotel is small and old(er), could use some upkeep. the breakfast was OK - coffee and pasties. there is no restaurant near by and the streets are not so welcoming after dark.

The shower fixture would not hold for a real shower only a hand rinse. The wind sounded as if it was coming through the wall s and pipes all night.

Good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very close to the city centre, and the Intercity bus/coach station. The local city bus to Heraklion airport (number 1) stops right outside the hotel, tickets are €1.20 if pre purchased, or €2 if bought on bus.

We arrived in Crete on a late flight and stayed here overnight before driving to the other side of the island. The hotel is small and does overlook the harbour - although we hadn't realised it was a harbour with large ferries rather than fishing boats :-) The staff we spoke to were lovely and helpful. I hadn't realised that I need to take the credit card I had booked with, with me but the guy on the desk just refunded it and used the one I did have with me with no problems.

Hotel ist sauber, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, mein Zimmer etwas klein aber mit Balkon, leider ist der Fluglärm in der ganzen Stadt zu hören, deshalb auch im Zimmer, hinzu kommt die Hauptstraße vor dem Hotel. In der Nacht ist jedoch ruhig.

Nicely tucked in near to the port, the hotel had friendly staff and nice rooms.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and reasonably comfortable, but very small. WiFi was decent.

Tiny towels, too few, weak air conditioning, shower nightmare. Curtain too short - water all over the bathroom. Flat pillows.

The hotel itself is good. Decoration and atmosphere is nice. The price is not too bad and the beds are good. Aircondition works very well. The only major drawback I can think of is the noisy traffic outside and the airplanes flying over. About 10 minutes walk from bus station and 15 minutes from Heraklion central.
