And that's it, plus it would have been nice to have the tv working.

The location and room size. We expected some noise as the family room is over bar but actually it was mostly quiet after any noisy people went to bed at 11. The space was good sized sheets appeared changed and clean. Warm water.

As expected there was no food or breakfast available due to hotel renovations. There were dirty cups left in room and no milk to put in hot drinks. There was no shower only bath. One room was not wallpapered only plasterboard so quite expensive for a part decorated room. My child in additional single room couldn't sleep due to thin walls and noise. The skylight in corridor very dusty and white mould on walls giving hotel an unkempt appearance rather than just quaint and dated as I'd expected. Hotel needs yo act on details that can be fixed whether under renovation or no. How about providing guests with until milk and breakfast bags to go.otherwise drop prices!!

Friendly hosts made us feel very welcomed when we arrived late from a long drive. Comfortable beds and quiet location. Plus dog friendly too. Parking out front nice and easy.

It is in need of renovation but it had everything you needed for a stay, tea, coffee, local cafes that do great coffee and breakfasts but maybe check if you need to book incase!

I made allowance for the fact that the property was family owned , not a chain. The father had retired through ill health and the son was taking over. The refurbishment was a work in progress. The price was good value. The son was friendly and helpful. The building had character. I slept well on a comfortable clean bed with good quality clean linen . I will return.

1st room offered, TV not working, no on suite facilties, bare boards on floor. Paint on ceilling flaking off. 2nd room, just a bed, no side lights, no facilities, no tv. Plaster on one wall not tnere revealing bare concrete. Bare floor boards with very uneven floors. Very dusty. Shared shower room had just cold water. Floor of the bathroom had floor tiles missing. This was in the OLD part of the building. The 2 rooms appear to be converted attic space. FOR £60 A night, this is far from ideal in this day and age.

The hair dryer didn't work. I asked for spare. They didn't have any. However the very lovely young assistant let me loan hers. We asksd for more pillow as there were only one each but they didn't have any. When we came back in the evening we went to the first floor where our room was and the corridor was pitch black and no lights working. We had to use our phone to see thethe key and lock. There was also a double mattress in the corridor so no lights and an obstacle, no health and safety. The hot water was only warm. The bathroom suite was very old fashioned being sunshine yellow with a very loud buzzing noise when the light was on. All furniture was mismash. The one thing we were grateful for was they allowed our dog for an extra £20. I must say the young Receptionist was very cheerful and helpful with loaning me her own hairdryer but her hands were tied because she only worked there and was the only person we could complain to. We had to be out by 10am but we left at 9am and was told to use the back door but there was no where to leave the keys. We ended up leaving them with another guest. I would not go back and not recommend.

Lovely staff just taken over and in the process of renovating. Very helpful. Nice place, a little dated but with lots of original touches, teamwork etc in the pub. Beds comfy, clean bathroom.
