Chequers Inn Hotel

It was a nice place to stay if you’re attending an event. However, the beds were quite squeaky and wobbly. Also, the check-out door was locked, which made it difficult to return the key normally; a key box would be a good idea. Overall, it was relatively quiet, and I appreciated the back entrance for after-hours access.

Scruffy, felt dirty, very dated and unloved. No towels. The room was embarrassingly bad.

Would be nice if there was a breakfast option

This quaint, Grade 2 Listed building housing the bar and reception desk has excellent, family staff. The guest rooms are modern in design, clean & spacious. My son and I enjoyed looking around the village and ate at one of the various resturaunt's located nearby. Nice and quiet overnight, We left this morning to drop off my son at Gatwick Airport (30 minutes drive) avoiding the risk of him missing his flight. (We would have had to use the M25 if we drove from our home)

The four poster bed was lovely and comfortable, the shower worked well. A warm welcome from Tiffany on arrival.

The hotel is undergoing refurbishment, only the bar is open and the rooms. Not all the lights are on which made it dark in places. No parking, we had to park in a public car park 5 min walk away. The room could have been cleaner, resident smokers were smoking too close to the hotel. We wouldn’t stay again until the refurbishment is completed.

Nice location, comfortable huge bed.

Access out of pub hours

Looks nice from the front and in the bar. Nice fireplace and flag stone flooring

The room we was in needs modernisation Very tired. The shower head on wall in bath to low down. Would have to kneel down. Bed very soft and springy.
