The staff were great . Especially Marco who helped us with our laundry .

Due to the heatwave it was very hot in our room . The fan just didn’t really help . The water pressure in the shower was non existent. Possibly due to our room being at the top

Short walk to Lyndhurst High Street, free parking at the back of the hotel, good breakfast

Steep staircase to the upstairs rooms might be a problem for some people. We were there in a heatwave, so had the windows open at night - lots of traffic noise in our room at the front but the traffic did stop quite early. Our room had a step up into the ensuite - not a problem if you remember it's there. It's a slightly quirky hotel, so go with it and enjoy!

Breakfast was very nice, cooked to perfection. I liked the fact the menu gave a separate vegetarian option and not the usual “V” option. Staff were all very nice and friendly. Nice and clean everywhere.

Bedroom definitely needed updating. Room gets very hot so would recommend bringing your own fan, they did supply one but it wasn’t great and was very noisy. When you opened your windows there was lots of traffic noise. Just bring some earplugs.

Friendly staff. Big room.

The outside needs renovation around the windows. The grass needs cutting. Bathroom light pull missing - just a screw to pull it. Towel rammed into the bathroom window for some reason. Bath panel needs replacing. This is located very close to a very busy road.

Staff attitude toward EXTREME DISRUPTION - Roadworks outside my room from 20:00 consistently till 06:00
