This was our third visit - normally we do not return to a location because there are so many other places in the world to explore, but this feels like coming home. For us, the hotel is ideally situated - the location is quiet, within easy reach of the beach and the local countryside, and a short walk into Cansaulim. We have never stayed in such a friendly, welcoming hotel. The staff are fantastic, often addressing you by name and with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble, and if something isn't quite right, steps are immediately taken to resolve it. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable, and the food is excellent with plenty of choice from traditional Goan, Asian, English, Italian to wonderful soups, salads and desserts. The daily entertainment is low key with the emphasis on fun, and a great way of getting to know your fellow guests involving daily games such as darts, frisby, crazy golf, or an early morning bird walk, cooking demonstrations (and tasting) napkin and towel folding and pottery making - all very enjoyable and informative. The staff work so hard setting up the twice weekly Gala nights and the evening entertainment - live singers and music to which you can dance - is most enjoyable. The Mentalist is amazing! Just outside the entrance to the hotel is Sanlin Raj Gems & Jewellers. I owned a ring which I had barely worn because it was uncomfortable to wear. Having seen reviews for Sanlin Raj, I had brought the ring with me to Goa but was a little apprehensive about approaching him. Raj couldn't have been more helpful. He has transformed my ring at a very reasonable price, and I have worn it more in the last three weeks than in the previous five years.
