Hotel Star Montreal

My stay was ok.

No cold water out of any tap until I went downstairs and asked for it. Just scalding heat from every outlet.

Loud (but I expected the street noise given the area and the room rate). No face cloth or hand towel. Room/hall smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Smoke alarm was tucked away in a bureau drawer.

Over all Experience was really good,The receptionist and other staff was really good.If I visit Montreal again,This hotel will be my first choice.

dirty and not enough tower for used

More of a hostel than a hotel.

Room was not ready, waited 3 hrs for the room. Dirty hotel, no heat, no hot water, no insonorisation. Very dirty

Good location but very loud with drunks on Fri and Sat nights especially as our window wouldnt close. Carpet hasnt been cleaned in decades and is gross. Steep stairs to get to room - a bit dangerous. Reception staff pretty unhelpful but there is some food for brekky and is within walking distance of a lot of Montreal.

I wasn't crazy about this hotel one bit.....no bathroom facilities, continental food is just bread and coffee/chocolate ...not even eggs .....too much of a luxury I guess...Bad Advertising and staff were a little rude just cuz I asked for soap.... The only good thing I have to say is the location is good and there are some really nice restaurants around....check out St Hubert.

I would be disappointed if I had paid full price for this hotel. The windows are terrible so you hear EVERYTHING outside and the street is noisy until 4am due to the bar across the street. The bed was acceptable and we didn't always have hot water to shower with. On the plus side it's really close to down town, shopping, lots of bars and the metro.
