Garner Hotel Doswell Southeast by IHG

Staff was very cooperative and friendly Specially Mr Mirza helped a lot

Love the upgrades to the hotel and rooms. Very comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The only complaint I have is that our room thermostat was either broken or set to heat only. In the middle of the night, our room temperature rose to 77 degrees Fahrenheit, even though it was set to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. When we first entered the room, it was warm, so we set the temperature to 65 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the temperature continued to rise because the heat blew out instead of the air conditioning. We turned off the thermostat, but the room remained warm.

The closeness to Kings Dominion

The bugs , no one at front desk for most of the morning and front desk clerk desk was definitely stoned out of his mind when trying to explain to him about the bugs honestly acted like it wasn’t a problem . The breakfast wasn’t hot at all they had 3 different types of cereal in one thing combined. The toilet wouldn’t even hardly flush. Definitely will not ever be staying there again !!!!

The price.

Every time the room is missing something. The thermostat didn't work in the room. I put the AC on, and the heat kicked on. Never have remote to the TV.

Location

We were only given 2 bath towels (3 adults) I thought a standard room was 2 beds but instead their standard is a king big w/pull out sofa ( I guess I should have read better before booking) but then when we got settled in from a long day -around midnight from Kings Dominion Halloween Festivities- I then had to go downstairs and ask for bedding for the pull out sofa.

The suite was amazing. Very clean and comfortable.

The breakfast needed help but we were told that they were out of some items.
