Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier

The location

We loved everything about this hotel. This location on North Vancouver was surprising quiet. We went to a conference and everything went smoothly. We had an amazing view of the harbour. The staff made us feel like we were Royal. We highly recommend and would stay again💖

Small rooms, bizarre bathrooms with a picture window and shutters on the outside looking into the shower from the room - no privacy. Super odd and awkward when traveling with family. Rooms were tiny. Location was 10/10 though

It was pretty loud and the beds were very basic. At that price they should have better interiors and sleeping comfort.

Stayed here for a weekend while attending a wedding nearby. First impressions are that it's very much a business hotel but it functions just fine for leisure / family travel, especially if you are looking to spend time in the Shipyards area in North Vancouver. The hotel room was spacious enough for an adult and a child, only minimally crowded with two adults and a child. The shower / tub has a weird window into the main bedroom, with the blinds on the outside, which meant I had to emphasize to my child not to mess with the blinds and I had to ensure the blinds to the street were closed because I didn't need to be flashing the residents who live in the condos across the way. The bathroom has a sliding door with a lock that doesn't function very well so really, if you need privacy away from curious kids who like to fidget, this may not be the place for you. There wasn't much counter space in the bathroom but at least the water pressure was decent and consistent. The beds are firm which may or may not be to your liking. The pillows are great but certainly wasn't the best sleep I've ever had in my life. There were enough plugs but not the most USB-equipped room, if you travel with a lot of devices. There also weren't very many lights in the room oddly, so if you wanted a lot of light, you had to throw the curtains wide open for natural light. But otherwise, was quite dim even during the day. The pool was fine, mostly set up for lap swimming but it was quiet enough that I didn't feel my child was disturbing anyone with his splashing. Hot tub was great too, gym area seems well equipped and staffed. I did park in the underground garage designated for hotel guests and at check-in, opted to have my parking fees put onto my room bill to be paid upon check-out. After check-out, we went down to the car and found a parking ticket. I returned to the front desk and they were very apologetic and said that they'd take care of it (ie. speak with the parking management company to cancel the ticket). I haven't called in yet to confirm if that's been done but just be aware. May be easier to just pay the parking yourself directly. All in all, it was a fine hotel. Location is a premium for sure and there's no shortage of things to do, food to eat in the immediate vicinity. It was a perfectly lovely staycation otherwise.

Terrific location near the harbour. The sea train to/from Vancouver is just a few minutes walk away. Staff were all very friendly, competent and helpful as needed. The bed was very comfortable and the harbour view was lovely both day and night. Breakfasts and lunches in the hotel cafe were high quality and prices were comparable to good restaurants nearby.

While the Pinnacle is a 4-star hotel in my opinion, it does not earn 5 stars as is advertised in some places. It's very clean and well-maintained, but some updating is needed.
