Excellent as ever, the cleanliness was of the highest standard. The staff were exceptional, especially James at breakfast who gave us an update on the weather every morning, always "it will be sunny ". Thank you for everything, please don't change!!!

"We'll be back!"

10.0

The only downside to this wonderful hotel is that it can be a bit of a maze but after a few days you soon become accustomed to it and then it's just amaz-ing. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a room with a private pool and it was fabulous. Situated just 500 yards from more than enough quality tavernas to keep anyone going for 10-14 days, and close enough to a perfect beach, it's hard to ask for any more. Oh and the staff are especially marvellous especially James from Sudan whose cheery smile welcomed us to breakfast every morning. We'll be back, and we never go back to any hotel as there are so many to choose from in Greece.

"Beautiful Setting, but Disappointing Stay for the high end Price"

4.0

We stayed in a maisonette with shared pool and while our first impressions on arrival were very positive — the setting is stunning and the architecture is beautifully designed, the reality of the stay fell far short of expectations, especially given the premium price of over €4,750 for 11 nights (booked direct months in advance). Our original room was extremely dark with little natural light, making it feel gloomy and uninviting. After requesting to move, we were relocated to Room 608, but still found the overall standard disappointing. The bedding and pillows were uncomfortable, the curtains mismatched, and both bathroom and pool towels were visibly worn and in need of replacement. The maisonette layout itself also raised concerns. It is advertised as sleeping 4–5 people, yet the loft area is reached by a steep, ladder-style staircase that feels unsafe, I would certainly worry about children sleeping up there. The additional sleeping is literally two mattresses on the floor, below the standard we would expect at this price point. When you look closely on their website, you can see this is the case, but lets be honest, no-one expects a mattress on the floor, especially when paying this price! Housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days it was very thorough, other times like they were there 2 minutes; dirty glasses from the bar were left behind, and at one point our own Stanley travel cup was "mistakenly" taken. I thought I was going mad until another guest said that hers had been taken from their room. As this had happened to other guests too, and it was new cleaners who thought they belonged to the hotel, we were surprised that no effort was made to proactively return it — we had to go to reception to track it down. The shared pool, one of the main reasons we booked, was also a disappointment. The limited space in the sun meant close proximity and made it feel intrusive rather than relaxing if being used at the same time as the neighbours. In the end, we avoided using it. Breakfast each morning was another letdown — repetitive, limited in choice, and featuring low-quality items such as cheap meats and processed cheese. However, if you like dried fruit and seeds, this is the place for you! The only redeeming factor was the consistently warm and attentive service from the staff, particularly Connie, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We are seasoned travellers and have stayed at a wide range of hotels worldwide. Unfortunately, this was one of the most expensive per night, yet least satisfying experiences we’ve had. Neither of the two reasons we booked — the additional upstairs space and the shared pool — turned out to be practical or usable. Overall, the stay did not reflect the quality or comfort expected for the price paid. While we were disappointed during our stay, we wanted to enjoy our holiday and not dwell on things we couldn't change but as time went on, our frustration grew. After returning home, we couldn't help but compare our experience at Atrium to an earlier holiday in Crete where we paid less than half the price for far superior accommodation and facilities. On our return our feedback to management fell on deaf ears and replies were defensive, did not acknowledge our issues, and were not at all helpful. Personally I would not stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it at the price we paid.

"The most wonderful hotel"

10.0

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at The Atrium on 6th September and stayed there from 2nd-8th September, with many of our guests (family & friends). We'd visited Skiathos in 2021 and fallen in love with the island but never been to The Atrium itself so it felt risky planning our wedding there, particularly as we live in Sydney but the aesthetics of the hotel that we saw online and the support we received by the staff throughout our enquiries and planning led us to proceed and boy did it pay off! The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, the food is fantastic, the ambience is tranquil & calm and the staff are truly exceptional. We cannot fault anything and felt truly taken care of throughout our stay. All our guests agreed wholeheartedly and were full of praise. Our wedding day itself and all the preparations and efforts put into it by The Atrium's team, headed up by the incredible Elektra, was utter perfection. We would not change a thing and wish we could do it all over again! Again, the food was wonderful, the staff unbelievably attentive, supportive & kind and each element of the day (welcome drinks, ceremony, cocktails & canapes, dinner, cake and party) were everything we'd dreamed of and so much more. I must also say that Anastasia from Skiathos Blu was also absolutely magnificent and supported us with the ceremony (as our celebrant), the absolutely divine cake, the bridal party bouquets and the organisation of the hairstylist, Hanne (who is also so, so worth a mention as oh my goodness my hair has never looked better- she's a magician!). The Atrium team, Elektra, Anastasia, Hanne & Chris (DJ) - you all made our day so perfect and we will never forget it. We very much hope to return for anniversaries in the future. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything. Abi & Alex

"For great vacations"

10.0

Excellent hotel, great location, very friendly staff and most of all excellent food and cleanliness. Room was spacious, quiet, with very nice view. I will also mention two negatives. It was expensive (5 euros per bottle of water??) but so is Skiathos, and there weren't enough sun loungers at the pool.

"4.5 if I could"

8.0

Hotel is beautifully constructed and thoughtfully designed and first impressions are very good. Built on a steep hill, the hotel blends perfectly with nature with the use of various high quality natural materials. I especially love the pretty landscaping and plants used. There are some steps but also 2 lifts that make it quite easy to navigate. We were in room 703 and the views are magnificent. Room is big enough and is very smart with large modern bathroom and comfortable balcony. Spotlessly clean and towels changed daily. Bed is very comfy and air con excellent. Pool area is lovely with towels available, quite disappointed that you need a deposit so didn’t bother. Would not have expected this from a hotel of this style. Sun beds are comfy but I can see that in peak season you might struggle to get one. Lots of beautiful common areas but never a soul in them so a terrible waste. Sometimes felt like walking through a deserted villa. Breakfast was only ok. Small selection of fruit and yoghurt, pastries and some luke warm hot food. Unfortunately it’s breakfast that stopped me giving 5*. The quality of ingredients were not of a high enough quality. Sausages and bacon were just not acceptable. I’ve had the same in 2* properties in Greece. Come on Atrium! Beach is a 5 min walk from hotel with path next to bus stop 16a. Some other reviewer seemed to miss it. Lots of lovely restaurants short walk from hotel but road has no pavement, another thing the hotel should address, alongside other local businesses like the hotel next door. It literally needs 100m of pavement added. Overall enjoyed my stay and would defo visit again. Staff are very professional.

"Almost perfect!!"

8.0

Having driven past this hotel many times during our previous visits to Skiathos, we had high hopes. The hotel didn’t let us down. Located right in the middle of the famous bus route, the hotel now proudly sits directly on newly created bus stop 16a which is fantastic to beat the busy next bus stop into town which is 16. Drove up the steep driveway to find ample parking spaces. We were greeted and had our cases taken in for us and delivered to our room. The hotel has been sympathetically renovated and gives a calm, traditional yet modern vibe. A mix of stone, wood & natural materials throughout. Staff were great. All friendly, helpful and attentive. The views are OUTSTANDING. We know Skiathos well and this hotel boasts some of the best views. Our room wasn’t that big but was nicely decorated with a modern big bathroom and large balcony with those amazing views. Great Air Con at night & lots of storage & hangers. A decent safe in the room is free to use. Modern key card room entry lets you inform housekeeping from the outside if you want your room cleaned. We didn’t realise this & subsequently had our room cleaned every day which was faultless. Lovely pool area. Exceptionally clean. With a slightly maturer ‘chilled Ibiza’ vibe. There are quite a few steps as the hotel is set on a slope but all clearly visible with hand rails and 2 separate lifts which service most of the hotel so getting around isn’t too hard. The pool bar is nice and offers good selection of drinks and food which we thought was quite good value. For us this was a very good hotel in a fantastic location close to a number of bars and restaurants without the need to go into town. Literally a 5 min walk. A few minor issues stop me giving this 5 stars. We felt the pool was a bit cold. There could be a few more sun loungers and they do look a bit grubby at first glance but they’re not particularly. I’m just being fussy. I also dont want to be putting deposits down for towels. For me that’s an absolute ‘no’ in a hotel of this quality. Breakfast isn’t at a standard for a hotel of this quality. Lack of breakfast tables in shade. A bit more choice. Hot food should be a bit hotter (microwave available but still…) & some readily available gluten free options such as bread/ pastries would be nice. Rooms lacking an iron and ironing board Gym is adequate but not great. Lastly, lots of beautiful recreational areas. Stunning views, lovely decor including a stunning pool/snooker room with beautiful tables to play on. All unfortunately are under utilised which is such a shame. I think this is because these areas lack either air conditioning or perhaps more fitting, a nice big ceiling fan to keep the cool. If youve booked here lucky you! We will definitely return and I’d definitely recommend. Worth paying a bit extra for a relaxed, sophisticated, peaceful yet ‘classy’ accommodation.

"Fine, but definitely not worth the peak season price"

6.0

This hotel was fine, but it wasn't worth the cost. We had a pool suite (301). The pool was beautiful, but it was in the shade from big trees most of the day, which meant it was cold till the late afternoon. The beds and table were also a bit grubby and tired looking. Also this suite is next to the car park. There is some sparse bamboo, but everyone parking their car still looks in. Once family wondered in through the gate and had a look round. The room itself is nice enough, but small for a suite. The bathroom is very small and has very little counter space. If you are using the sofa bed, it is just a foam pad. You can get a mattress topper to make it more comfortable but you do have to ask. We didn't use the main pool much, but as other reviews state, there are not enough sun beds. During breakfast people were plotting where to go once the big red rope came down. This was August, so it might be better in lower season. Also, you have to pay a deposit for pool towels, which means you have to keep an eye on them or you will loose your deposit. The breakfast was nice enough, nothing special. The cinnamon buns are lovely. The evening meal is always buffet so we didn't eat at the hotel. We had excellent meals at The View Restaurant next door in the Magic Hotel and Ammos at the Skiathos Princess. During the day Ammos has a lovely beach club feel and we had lunch and drinks there there several times. Skiathos Princess residents can use the beds. There is no beach access for The Atrium - if you are looking at google earth, the path opposite the hotel that looks like it goes to the beach actually goes to a villa and there is no way through. You need to walk past the Princess and down a road beside the Kohyli Tavern - it takes 10-15 minutes. There is a rough track that cuts down the hillside and you end up behind the kitchen of the Ammos; it is quicker but sort of climbing and the area behind the kitchen is grim. The beach is lovely and there are beds for hire by the beach bars for 20 euro a pair. As other reviews say, there are lots of levels and lots of stairs, but we didn't mind that. The only thing we really did not like the stretch of road that you have to walk on to get to the hotel and the next hotels/ shops/beach. For 150m there is no path and as it is on a corner it does not feel safe, especially at night.
