Atrium Hotel

We stayed in private pool room 301 and the pool/garden areas where very good with amazing views, pool was checked on every morning and room cleaned very well. Lovely hotel with stunning pool area, amazing views, stunning seating areas, very clean, all staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast wasn’t for us, we prefer live cooking stations and more of an English type breakfast. Beech was only a few minutes walk down a tricky pathway or 10 minutes if using the road. There are hardly any pathways leading to the hotel from nearby bars/restaurants which is something we struggled with- however there are bus stops directly outside the hotel.

This could be a fine hotel but isn’t. The main problem is a sense of joylessness and anxiety. Staff, most of whom are nice, seem never to smile and to be fearful of guests. But there are other problems too: The check in is unnecessarily tortuous. All arrivals have to go through a complex and infuriating sign in process to arrive at their private high security WiFi address. The breakfast is second rate. There is no whole fruit and the sliced fruit is almost exclusively tropical ie flown in rather than seasonal. There is an overall appearance of selective penny pinching - cheap ingredients and institutional cutlery and crockery. Finally there were no tissues or shower cap provided and only generic all in one shower gel/shampoo. Most importantly, even though the water on the island isn’t potable no bottled water was provided. We asked for some - it was suggested we went to the supermarket, several hundred yards away along the main road of the island. Part of the way there is no pavement. We said this was unacceptable in a hotel where our room cost €500 per night. My husband also complained that at 81 he wasn’t prepared to lug back bottles of water. The hotel then reluctantly agreed to provide us with two bottles of water a day but this only materialised once during our four day stay. Overall the location is stunning, the hotel is well constructed and kitted out and it was very clean. But it seriously lacked skilled management and friendly smiles. We are not planning to return.

Très bel établissement offrant de magnifiques vues sur la mer. La chambre était spacieuse, confortable et joliment décorée. La terrasse privative avec le jardin et le jacuzzi étaient de vrais plus. La piscine partagée est grande et agréable. Personnel très accueillant.

Les murs de la salle de bains comprenant les toilettes étaient en verre, on en voyait donc l’intérieur depuis la chambre (pas génial pour l’intimité). Le restaurant le soir n’était pas à la hauteur de nos attentes.

Third time to the Atrium and as usual was an amazing holiday. All three of us had a wonderful time ....the room was lovely and the surroundings and hotel are beautiful. The thing that makes the Atrium so special though is the staff...they are all amazing from the reception staff to the waiting staff and bar staff. The cleaners do a wonderful job as well as it's always spotless. We will be back next year.

The hotel is located on a hillside. So there are many stairs and elevators, but beautiful views down to the sea. Very friendly staff. excellent buffet also with Greek cuisine, different wines but no Retsina, draft beer. Some very nice public rooms also with great sea view. Very different rooms and different locations of the rooms.

Atrium Hotel is situated in a wonderful place. The witty architectonic composition in the form of a labyrinth (without uniform corridors with rows of rooms) contributes to the feeling of privacy. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is extremely relaxed and friendly. The receptionists are informal and helpful. The cleanliness and the housekeeping is absolutely perfect. Of course, you have to accept the Greek toilette rules but this is no problem at all. Surprisingly, the tap water has a good taste and you can drink it with no problems. The breakfasts in the Atrium are a beautiful beginning of each day. The waiters are very pleasant and diligent. Some of the food could be brought to a higher level of perfection; not all products are warm enough (eggs, sausages) and the bacon could be more crispy, however, these details are not important. The overall impression: a week spent at the Atrium Hotel in Skiathos is a great gift that you should give to yourself.

We enjoyed our stay here. Didn't get to use the pool as it was always very crowded and other guests would "reserve" the loungers. Beaches were much better so that was not a huge problem. Front desk staff were exceptional with many recommendations and helpful tips. The restaurant staff could use a little more friendliness and attentiveness. We would recommend this hotel.
