Suburban Studios Near Camp Lejeune

I chose this hotel because it was a reasonable room rate and they were pet friendly. When I arrived with my dog, they explained that there was a $250 deposit for pets which is fair but there is also a $125 pet fee On top of that which is $40 more than I spent on the room itself. When I arrived, the police were pulling somebody out of the room next to ours. The hallways reeked of ammonia. The rooms themselves were not clean and the beds were awful. I asked the front desk for extra pillows and blankets and they said they didn’t have any. When I went back out to my car to grab some things, there were people doing drugs in the parking lot and the whole area felt unsafe. If I knew what I was signing up for, I would’ve just slept in a gas station parking lot in my car.

$150 deposit required per room, but it's an affordable efficiency with a full albeit mini kitchen

Two reasons we selected this location: it was priced lower than expected, and it was located as close as we could find to our destination. The staff were courteous, helpful, and understanding.

HVAC maintenance. The condition of a room's hvac is critical to the comfort provided. The unit in our room was filled with water (yes I understand that is intentional in certain units), but the water was musty, as if stagnant for some time. The coils were saturated and the fan blades were wearing a coat of dust, dirt, and dog hair. The hotel provided cleaning supplies when this was brought to their attention and the unit was marked for additional maintenance, but there was no other room available, so we made do. I removed the water, lysol sprayed the unit, shut it off, and wrapped it in a garbage bag to contain the odor. Unfortunately the rest of the room was already damp, to include bed linens. Although apparently clean otherwise, and nicely appointed, the affect of the hvac extended beyond the into and was an ssue that detracted greatly from what could have otherwise been a pleasant, convenient experience.

Improve on the bedding. Provide better pillows

The price for just one night didn't even provide a military discount.

I stayed here with my baby to visit my husband and there were roaches in my room! Crawling just a few feet away from my baby, on the bec and floor! When i confronted staff, she did not seem very shocked or concerned. Will not be staying again and do not recommend.

Overall the stay was a pleasant experience, everything was a good 10-15 minutes away, that is because of the layout of the town. Staff was pleasant and helpful

Dirty. Pool green

I was there to visit my son, and it was close to his base. Location was good.

There was food in the corners of the elevator on the floor, the floor we were on smelled so strong of weed (not the hotel's fault), stains on the floors in the hallway, pool was green and had garbage.
