White Grass Ocean Resort & Spa

Beautiful environment and scenery, good spot for snorkling; Staff are kind and helpful; We have all the meals at the resort. The food is relatively fine, but the choice is limited due to logistics of the island. There are some nearby snorkling spots eg bluehole 1, bluehole 2. Tour to the vocalno is splendid and wonderful.

To increase the food variety a bit for seafood. Give more clear guidance for snorkling and other activities near the resort. For example, we went to the bluehole 2 under instruction by the staff in the morning. But after we return we found the best timing to get access to blueholes is during low tide, which wil be the noontime.

White Grass is perfect for a couple of days off grid if you’re venturing out to the volcano, village tour, blue cave etc. Cute little bungalows. Tours were easy to book.

Unfortunately the “resort” is poorly run. Inconsistent staff, food options were limited and average and drinks are overpriced, especially considering the beers in the fridge were expired! They offer limited info on the tours like what to pack, wear etc so you just kinda have to wing it. The place lacks a bit of soul and energy so don’t expect too much when you stay. There is so much potential for this place to thrive - hopefully the management can work on improving its vibe because it’s in the perfect location.

White Grass Ocean Resort is in a prime location on Tanna Island. This quiet resort has everything you need, along with stunning views and a well priced tour offering. We loved our volcano and blue cave tours. Just a few minutes walk down the road are 2 blue holes with incredible snorkelling. I loved the vegetarian/vegan menu. We especially loved the sunset views. There was no aircon in the rooms, however it wasn’t needed as they are well ventilated. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
