"Excellent"

Ideal stopover hotel. Walking distance to town centre Very Friendly staff. Good sized room and good breakfast.

Closed at 10 pm so had to make sure back by then.

"Lovely hotel in the middle of town. Only negatives is the terrible pillow"

Love this old property. Full of charm

Please sort your pillows out. My neck was so painful after my on off sleep. They are so uncomfortable. Next time I will bring my own. I was suffering all day as a result of the pillow

"This is our third stay at the George and will stay again."

The George is situated within the town centre with easy access to road and rail networks. Ideal for Newmarket or Huntingdon races. The free car park is an added bonus. Members of staff are friendly and helpful. A special thank you to Alex and Jacob for their friendly and efficient service in the restaurant.

No real dislikes. The hotel is in need of some updating but this is commonplace for many hotels in the current financial climate.

Cost . Location and staff

Just a small grumble , we had our dog with us and was in a far away room which was tricky for night time wee , but only an observation for a dog friendly room

"Aside from the minor grumbling, a good place to stay."

The room was clean. The staff were polite and helpful at all times. The breakfast was very good.

The bathroom was too cramped. A complaint I have with many hotels, we booked a double room but there’s only one chair to sit on whilst we’re there.
