"Average due to the single glazed windows."

Had a room only booking, so did not use the restaurant. Room was ok and the bed comfy.

The biggest downside was the single glazed sash windows. Very noisy and has to wear ear plugs to sleep. Would be far better if the windows were double glazed.

"Always get a good welcome at the George."

We had a family funeral and turned up at the George 3 hours b4 check in the staff quickly organised an early check in and we had room key's within a half hour allowing us to change clothing and get ready we use this hotel whenever we visit family and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
