"Fabulous Country Village Hotel"

The hotel was exceptionally clean and tidy. The food was excellent. The room was very spacious and bright. The hotel setting is on the main street with shops and eateries close by. Parking was very convenient at the rear of the hotel. The views at the rear look over the beautiful countryside. Our room was on the top floor and had dual aspects. The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. They were very friendly and helpful during our stay when attending a family wedding at the village golf club. Absolutely fabulous to be greeted by such pleasant people after a long journey. We would definitely return to this hotel again.

There was nothing at all about the hotel that we didn't like

The pillows! Very hard. I’d recommend putting a soft one on each bed so there’s a choice.

Friendly staff, clean rooms.

Very dated and in need of refurbishment. A little annoyed that we could not get dinner as the chef left early as he was unwell. We were offered a complimentary drink, not very helpful as we were hungry! Fortunately the nearby 'chippy' was open and we enjoyed an excellent take away.
