Ryde Castle Hotel by Greene King Inns

The hotel is in a perfect location for all Ryde and the island has to offer. The hotel is of a good standard but the rooms could do with a coat of paint now to freshen them up a bit. The rooms are comfortable though and the breakfasts are good with plenty of variety. The staff are friendly and helpful and quick to deal with any queries. The free parking offered by the hotel is also a bonus. My favourite hotel in Ryde!

Friendly staff, clean hotel, comfy bed negatives room 7 you can hear reception phone above the tv every time it rings and ifvthe window is open you get aroma from the kitchen extration system that isnon the roof outside the window which made me feel ill. The breakfast was microwave scrambled egg and wasnt any pride in any of its appearance which was disappointing.

We wanted just an overnight stay to visit family on the island and the Ryde Castle was perfect - a comfortable sizeable room with an excellent dinner.

The Ryde Castle is definitely the best hotel in Ryde. The rooms are comfortable and clean with everything you need for a good night's sleep. There is plenty of choice at breakfast and their evening menu is also good. The bar area provides a nice place to chill for an hour or two before dinner. The added bonus is the free parking at the hotel and the central position.

Great location and great staff!

Main problem is that there is no internet unless you accept logging on the Sky cloud. I have no wish to commit to other T&C for a system I do not use. Otherwise no problems

Liked: central location for esplanade and town centre; ample parking; pleasant bar and restaurant; helpful staff. Not so keen on: no air conditioning in the room (glad it wasn't the height of the heatwave) just a small fan and windows that only opened a few cms. The bar and road outside were surprisingly noisy - the sound seemed to bounce off all the hard surfaces and rise up - so it was hard to sleep with windows open.
