Dornoch Castle Hotel

Location is good right in the centre of the lovely town. Room was clean, cosy and comfortable. Felt like a proper old Scottish hotel. We had complementary whisky in our room. There’s a nice garden at the back and we had comfortable seats to look out from and drink our whisky

Our evening meal was booked for 7.45pm but due to a booking of 20 people on one table we waited an hour to order. The venison was very over cooked when it came and I had to send it back, the replacement was slightly better but not rested. However the charge was waived. We had expected more game and local produce on the menu but were disappointed. The staff worked hard to remedy the issues by asking if we wanted an appetiser whilst we waited but we declined as we knew that would affect our appetites. The restaurant unfortunately let them down

Good size well appointed room and bathroom. Staff helpful. Free street parking nearby. Superb evening meal pizzas.

Lovely historic building, friendly and helpful staff. Terrace room was lovely, warm and cosy The complementary Thompson Bros whiskey in the room was a welcome bonus

Wonderful location! Fun to explore town and beach. Castle history and architecture was great. Nice visit.
