The Manor Hotel by Greene King Inns

Staff were really nice especially reception and restaurant. Food was lovely. However bed very uncomfortable didn't get much sleep. The water only trickled out of the shower head most came out of the lead up to it. Room and bathroom very clean. So positives and negatives.

Great town centre location minutes from shops and other eating options. But very nice dining room and bar area onsite so stay onsite!

After been refused food after we booked online I asked what time the bar was serving until. I was told around 10. We arrived back at 9:30 for the bar to be closed. Again shoddy service. Never had this before here. We returned to the room in the stables to find the heating turned off so we had to put on the small electric heater in the room. It’s freezing cold, had to hunt elsewhere for food and couldn’t get a drink. Really this is a joke.

The only problem I had was the lack of hot water

It was perfect in every way. We plan to go back.

The breakfast in The Manor Hotel is worth coming back for. It has probably seen better days but if you’re after something basic, affordable and conveniently located, it’s for you.

We were a party of 25 people. The service and the hospitality was exceptional from the time I made the first inquiry as to availability for a Christmas lunch through to the actual meal itself. It was exceptional. The food itself arrived promptly and was hot and tasteful. Their hospitality was friendly and efficient from the first enquiry through to servicing the meal. Would definitely recommend.
