Peru Star Apart-Hotel

Great location , cute rooms, each with a different decor, great service and excellent food . I have been here several times and it is my preferred place to stay in Lima for short or long stays.

Outstanding service

I can not Recommend Peru Star highly enough ! This was a last minute find on Expedia and it was excellent in every way. This is proprietress Lucy's labor of love and you can tell. The attention to detail is incredible. it feels like you are in a dear friend's home. The rooms are immaculate and have every amenity imaginable - TV, micro, fridge,dishes, etc. The restaurant is fantastic. The San Isidro location is perfect - walking distance to stores anda huge mall, yet quiet and relaxed, and just a few minutes to taxi to Miraflores. Book this one, and you will be happy !:)

What a great little hotel! My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Peru, and then again for one more night at the end. It's so bright and cheerful. The rooms were big, comfortable and quiet, and the whole place had great charm. The staff were wonderful, each and every person. So friendly and helpful. We have to give our special thanks to Cesar (the owner's brother), who made us feel like part of his family. Cesar, you're wonderful!! The restaurant was spacious and full of greenery, and breakfast and coffee were really good. We would absolutely stay here again.

Loved my 4 day stay. Big livingingroom, dining g area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms,2 baths and a great rate. It felt so personal and comfortable immediately. Nice simple breakfast in the lively patio. Wonderful location free from the traffic and noise of Lima. Great restaurants nearby. The hot water was a bit spotty, but I think there were repairs underway. I would highly recommend to travelers that want to avoid the big commercial hotels in Miraflores.

Some positives and negatives at Peru Star GREAT We stayed in the 2 bed unit. It was massive, had a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathroom and a comfortable lounge room. Although in need of a modern upgrade, we found it very comfortable. All staff were also helpful and worked hard to fix some issues. GOOD The pool was handy, but opened to the public and their dogs. There was a loud noisy party in the restaurant on Saturday and some children didn’t seem to know where the toilet was leaving the pool dirty. Also outside guests were smoking and drinking by the pool, not the type of environment for our young family. BAD The Wifi dropped out several times. Staff worked hard to provide us with a mobile wifi which worked briefly. This was an issue for us.

The Peru Star was a great choice for my wife and two children to stay on our recent travels to Lima. The Peru Star is located in a very lovely, upmarket and safe neighbourhood in San Isidro. It’s safe to walk around the streets to the local cafes and restaurants, and it’s also about 5 min walk from a very large shopping mall with many fashion stores and a big supermarket where we bought extra water, food and drinks. The staff at Peru Star really made our stay the best it could be. They were all very friendly and made us feel at home. We had several requests with our room and they were very quick to help us and put solutions in place. They always had a friendly smile and were super helpful and lovely. We stayed in a very comfortable large two bedroom three bathroom apartment at Peru Star that was extremely comfortable and gave our family much needed space to move around and relax. There is a washing machine and a dryer that all guests can freely use without any additional charges which is a great bonus (you just need to buy your own laundry powder etc.) The breakfast included every morning was really fantastic with eggs made to order, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh crusty bread and spreads, and fresh ground coffee. The pool was great for our young kids and had a really nice area to chill out around with a couple of deck chairs in the sun. It is however a very small the pool. The main things that can be improved is on the weekend we stayed there they hosted a big party around the pool with an external party, so we couldn’t use the pool that day and the party did kick on into the early evening and made a lot of noise. We thought that the pool was reserved only for guests but this was not the case, and the external party did drink a lot as well and were very loud. So I think Peru Start should reconsider how they allow events like this to happen to ensure guests staying at the hotel are not disrupted. Also the WiFi was a bit patchy and this disrupted us a bit over a few days, this is most likely out of the control of Peru Star but it did disrupt our holiday planning. Overall I would recommend Peru Star to families travelling to Lima for a comfortable and very good stay with large rooms and in a great location.
