Hôtel Golf Château de Chailly

Fantastiskt rum (vi fick en uppgradering) samt vackert och lugnt idyll runt omkring. Fri parkering. Vi åt en lite enklare middag i baren, restaurangen var stängd den dagen. Vi var mycket nöjda med både mat och service.

Frukosten nådde inte riktigt upp till våra högt ställda förväntningar, även om det var trevligt att få koka sin ägg själv.

Le petit- déjeuner juste passable pour un 4 étoiles ! Le fait que nous avions demandé une table pour le restaurant pour 20:00, que l’hôtel a d’abord acceptée, ensuite elle nous a dit que cela n’était pas possible de nous accueillir et que l’on pouvait manger un snack au bar (choix de l’hôtel justement parce qu’il y avait un restaurant sur place!) j’ai demandé l’annulation de la chambre et finalement le restaurant a daigné nous accueillir pour 19:00…nous avons averti que cela ne correspondait pas à nos attentes (trop tôt) pour ne jamais recevoir de réponse. Une fois sur place, seule possibilité, décaler à 20:30. On prend un peu les clients pour de girouettes. Par ailleurs, hôtel vétuste. Heureusement, l’endroit est chouette. Note spéciale pour les serveurs du bar qui nous ont fait patienter avec des chips jusqu’à l’heure du repas.

l'hôtel se trouve dans un château en pleine bourgogne, vous êtes transporté dans ce cadre magnifique . les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables. à ne pas rater les restaurant, le chef est exceptionnel, offre une cuisine gourmande et inventive, à ne pas rater

We just had an excellent stay here, no negatives points. The chateau is impressive and spacious. The swimming pool was just perfect. Clean and spacious room with a small terrace, slept great in a big bed. As we are vegetarians/vegans, they adjusted some of the dishes for us. There were also nightingales in the bushes surrounding the château, which I just loved.

There was a girl at the front desk who wasn't very nice and disinterested. Maybe I said something wrong or maybe she had a bad day, in any case it didn't feel very welcoming. But if you work in hospitality, being hospitle is key.

Great location. Excellent accommodation.

Restaurant closed. Their website indicates their gastronomic restaurant is open daily. It is closed due to chef changes. Their secondary restaurant was closed the two nights we stayed their. We booked the gastro restaurant in advance, on line. No dining possible except abysmal bar food. We have stayed here five times over the years. Never again. Their website is a lie. They are also very short staffed. You have been warned.
