Chapter House Boutique Hotel

Chapter House Hotel in South Africa is a fantastic place to stay, offering a great location with easy access to all the amenities in town. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything you need for a relaxing visit. What really stands out is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We made and prepaid the booking one month in advance, but at the check-in we were informed that the hotel was fully booked for the night and they organised our stay at another place. So we had to drive three more kilometres away from the city centre to a place with a completely different atmosphere from the one that we chose for our stay in Franschhoek. It was a totally disappointing experience with no explanation or prior notification from the Hotel.

This was our third visit to The Chapter House. It has always been excellent but is now even more of an oasis of calm and comfort. Under Nelson’s expert management, the hotel exudes charm. Staff members could not have been more obliging. Sindy in the spa works miracles! We will be back next year. Thank you.

What a wonderful 2 x nights stay in this lovely hotel. Nelson and his staff are doing an incredible job, the rooms, service and location are perfect, quietly tucked away but just a stones throw from all the restaurants and vineyards. Jamie was very efficient on reception taking us for a guided tour of the facilities and answering any questions we had. They had some new staff members on their first shifts during our stay and although they were finding their feet, will I’m sure settle in and become part of the golden thread of this special place.

This place is a hidden gem! Located within walking distance of the town, 2 small blocks, for restaurants, shops and the wine train. Nelson was probably the best hotel manager ever. He can organize, or solve problems for you with a smile and a solution that fits your needs. We stayed in one of the rooms in the original building it had a small pool and terrace , loads of space for everything,a/c, a huge bed. I would recommend you stay here for the comfort, practicality and wonderful friendly service.

Our 3 day stay at the end of a busy trip was just what we needed. The location is excellent, just a block away from the main street. Welcome was lovely, with refreshments when we arrived. We really relaxed here, Jay B was very helpful, all the team were to be fair. Hotel is beautiful, pool area very quiet and peaceful and we absolutely want to come back !!

We had a wonderful experience at Chapter House. It was charming and comfortable and in a perfect location for walking around the main street to shop or eat. Nelson went above & beyond for us, and Jay B. also made our stay very pleasant. We are very thankful and would return!!

Chapter House Boutique Hotel - a Franschhoek Haven After the buzz of Cape Town and a few days on safari in Kruger the 3 night stay in one of the most relaxing and beautiful few days in The Chapter House Boutique Hotel was the perfect way to end our vacation on a high note. I've stayed in the Ritz London, the Waldorf in New York and countless 'boutique' hotels throughout the world, but this place is something special. From the moment we arrived from our Hoedspruit flight the welcome we received has special. Wesley met us at the drop off and our cases disappeared to be brought to our room. The atmosphere is one of total calm and relaxation where every detail of furnishing and decor adds to the ambiance. Our room (7) had a private plunge pool, the toiletries were luxurious and the beds extremely comfortable leaving us with a few days of total calm and peacefulness. At breakfast everything is freshly prepared, with a full selection of wonderfully fresh buffet starters with individually prepared menu items. A nice touch is the afternoon treat of freshly made cake with tea of coffee (The tea was perfect!) The position of the hotel could not be better. You are within a few minutes walk of the Franschhoek Main Street with all the wonderful restaurants within walking distance as was the wine tram and the lovely Franschhoek Market (Open St & Sunday). To relax the pool area was private with extremely comfortable loungers and chairs. The staff were so professional and yet with a friendly manner that made us so welcome. A trip to South Africa would not be complete now without a visit to this wonderful hotel.
