Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort

What an amazing resort! A family all inclusive property with amazing staff. We had a warm welcome from the front desk and thereafter by Maria. Her hospitality was soo refreshing, looking after us from the moment we had arrived. To our surprise we were upgraded to a suit which was a pleasant surprise and we were soo grateful. Food was amazing veg options plenty and kids have their own section too. Rooms were spacious and the pools with a waterpark and beach access was amazing . You would not need to leave the resort as they cater for everything, kids & adult entertainment, activities day to day, themed nights etc. What an amazing stay with great hospitality we would definitely return.

Fab hotel, pools and slides were ace and kept kids occupied for hours. Food and entertainment also good. Special thanks to Katarina and Chris from the animation team for making the holiday such fun for the kids. One area for improvement would be the bedroom and not a great amount of storage space. We had most of our clothes kept in suitcases and stored under the beds. First world problem, but if hotel want suggestion for improvements then this would be mine.

Everything was amazing. The room was perfect , with direct access to the pool. George was fabulous, took care of us throughout our vacation. He prepared a dinner plan for us, each day at a different à la carte restaurant, and the breakfast he ordered was just perfect, breakfast swim to us in the pool, straight to the terrace. Perfect food, perfect entertainment, we really like silence disco ant painting on the rocks. It is perfect hotel!

It was just a perfct stay, wonderdul time everywhere. Pools, hotel, beach, service, hotel management just brilliant. Huge chcice of food and drinks in many places, big infrustructure for kids and adults, daily animations, very close to the city center of Chania. A place full of life and great people, wonderful atmosphere. My kid has various allergies which were discussed with the hotel manager and accomodated very well. A la carte restaurant near beach so beautiful and delicious. I higly recommend the place to everyone. Thank u Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort for everything, it was a real pleasure to be with you.

We travelled as two families in May 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Have to give a particular mention to the lifeguards here as they are a credit to the hotel. They showed great attention at all times but whilst still engaging and injecting some fun into guests stays! The only downsides is that we found cocktails a bit overly sweet and syrupy - didn’t stop us giving them all good try though. And the entertainment was not great though we can appreciate animation did try. We would return.

We had the most fabulous 10-night stay here this summer, with our two boys (14 & 11). The room, the food, the pools, the sunloungers, the brilliant staff - it was a perfect holiday and we wouldn't hestitate to return. This was our first summer holiday abroad since 2019, and we were excited and a little nervous after reading some reviews on here - so here are some of the highlights. Any concerns I had before we went all turned out to be completely unfounded! ROOM - yes, it was smaller than some we've stayed in as a family, but it did not present any issues at all for us and we were very happy with it. We were able to put all our clothes away in the cupboard and drawers, and store our cases under the bed. Everything was very comfortable and it was easily the best shower we've had in any hotel bathroom! It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly cleaned every day. FOOD - this seems to be a big problem for some reviewers, but I cannot understand that at all. There was a huge variety of choice at every meal, at an excellent standard. We could have filled our plates three or four times with different dishes. There is really something for everyone and we couldn't have been happier. POOLS - these are just fabulous. We are quite early risers (usually down for breakfast by 7:30ish) and some of the poolside beds were reserved by then, but there are so many beds that this is never a problem. It doesn't feel crowded either, and there were always plenty of free beds all day, despite the hotel being at capacity. I think it's also worth saying that these were some of the better sun loungers we've encountered over the years, as well - sturdy, comfortable and don't flip you up when you sit on the end without thinking! The waterproof beanbags are a fantastic addition and were perfect for our boys to position in a shady spot as the sun moved round. We'd never seen these before. The slides and splash zones were fantastic, and the lifeguards were very friendly but took no nonsense! ANIMATION TEAM - they made the holiday for our boys. They are all so energetic, enthusiastic and inclusive, and the range of activities on offer for all of us to enjoy was brilliant. Our oldest was delighted to win a slushie at one of the midday pool bar games! The staff overall were brilliant, and everyone we encoutered was friendly and keen to help. EXCURSIONS - this is something I was unsure about before we went, but I was very pleased to find that the reps from each operator are happy to chat and book you a trip, even if you're not booked through them for your holiday overall. We went on a tour of the Chania peninsula via the Jet2 rep, and on a snorkelling trip up the coast with TUI. Both were excellent and well worth doing. This is a wonderful hotel, and easily one of the best we've stayed in. We had a fantastic holiday on this beautiful island, and are looking forward to returning.

I always leave a review with honesty and a real assessment of the overall experience from start to Finnish This hotel needs absolute credit from the very top of the chain I was at the hotel when it was at maximum capacity mid August for 12 days From the moment me my wife and son arrived you pulled into the hotel you can already see the standards are high the hotel is really lovely our suitcases was taken swiftly we was greeted by lovely staff and Maria from guest relations took straight care of us with biscuits cakes welcome drinks talked us through the hotel the times of lunch dinner etc filled us full of knowledge straight away first impressions was really positive she took us around the hotel explained what was what took us to our room to find out we had a free upgrade to a suite. There was a mini fridge full of refreshments wine and a welcome letter in the room robes slippers and an absolutely comfortable massive bed The rooms are absolutely spotless cleaned 7 days a week fresh towels etc every day mini fridge topped up if needed the cleaning team do an absolute great job The hotel amazing massive pool great you will have no drama at getting a sunbed any time of the day and the bean bags around the pool is an absolute winner, the pool temperature is perfect im sure when I ask it's around 22 degrees there are plenty of slides for older younger children etc I love the way there is alot of self services at the bar area for beer wine pop etc it really reduces the que for the cocktails speak of cocktails you can tell the most experienced staff big mention to Yannis Irene Vagelis the drinks are perfect every single time these three really made part or the holiday from friendliness sharing their knowledge with you just great people if your heading out let these sort your drinks you won't be disappointed go with the mango tango the best drink there 😉 hits the spot everytime There is a lovely private beach for all you beach and sea lovers Onto the food which is very important to many my self including catering for 1000 people from different nationality the food is never repetitive there is a theme every night italian Mexican Greek etc you will never wait for a seat at the restaurant with the amount of people it is so we'll run I get not everything will be to everyone's liking but there is plenty of dishes meats salads etc I loved all the themes bar one cretan night just wasn't for me but I accept that Onto the other part there is two al acarte restaurants which is absolutely beautiful both are a must I constantly watched the manager walk around check bars restaurant food staff to make sure everything was at his standard it was great to see Big mention to chris from the animation team the best of the lot great guy great fun real nice guy I think only little thing the animation team may need is more of them for an huge resort but the lot there done a great job I've tried to cover as much as I can for new guests etc but a massive thankyou to this hotel from me and my family I don't usually go back twice But coming back next August

Hotel was beautiful. Although, bedrooms were small they had everything we needed. The robe and slippers were a nice touch. Food was good and the Al la carte restaurants added more variety. Despite how busy the hotel is, it never felt that way. It had a relaxed atmosphere. Bar, restaurant, cleaning and entertainment staff work tirelessly and always with a smile. There were plenty of activities. We particularly enjoyed water polo with Chris and aqua gym with Karolina. I felt they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Beach was beautiful but sand had a lot of cigarettes, this is a guest issue though rather than a problem with the hotel. We did have an issue that we felt could have been handled better. On return from lunch, we found a pool side poo near our sun-bed. We reported to the lifeguard who informed reception and then walked away leaving us to prevent others from standing in it. I asked for a warning or cleaning sign but was told that there’s nothing more he could do. After 15 minutes nobody had come to clean so I went to complain at reception but the gentleman just smiled and said that the cleaning had been informed. Eventually, another guest picked it up with tissue and put it in the public bin. When the cleaner arrived she just swilled it with water and brushed the stain. The poo was left in the bin. Maybe something more robust needs putting in place for these types of incidents. This aside, we enjoyed our stay.
