Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at this hotel Check in very easy. Room was not available when we arrived but we went for lunch and by 3 the rooms were available. The room is small however for us was not an issue we only sleep in it. It was clean, had a small fridge and even iron and hairdryer. Bathroom is small but has a lovely shower. The pool is lovely, always something going on around the pool however also a quieter side if you do not want to join in. Our daughter loved the slides and kept her busy. There were plenty on sunbeds even around 9am there were loads left just none directly by the pool. The beach is nice with sandy sections just need beach shoes to avoid stones in sea. Food is so good. We never went hungry even as fussy eaters. Breakfast has every option you could think of, we had most lunches down at the snack bar which was so good either pizza, hotdog, burger, salad and gyros. Dinner there was so much choice and we always found something to eat and it was always lovely. Kids club was amazing, my daughter loved it and the staff were so lovely. They had so much planned and my daughter went every morning. I will 100% be coming back and we have never said that about any hotel. We could not fault anything.

We stayed at the hotel with friends and our children and had a great experience overall. The food and facilities were excellent, and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Family rooms are a bit limited in space and storage, so I would recommend booking a suite with two rooms if you're traveling with kids. A special mention to the hotel manager, Andreas, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. The animation team also did a great job keeping both kids and adults entertained.

The hotel is fantastic, highly recommend. We went as a family everything just so great. The swimming pools and slides so much fun. Especially the staffs and animators they all amazing. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone just want a relaxing family and not get bored.

We stayed at this hotel in June 2025, but decided to write a review now. This hotel is incredible! We stayed for 6 nights and 7 days. The food was amazing, with a large variety of Greek traditional foods and the dessert table had a selection of lots of treats. The breakfast was also amazing, with an outstanding amount of food choices at the buffet. The pool area was massive, with a big pool, small pool with fountains for kids, another kids pool with 3 slides and 5 big slides for older kids (all outside). Lots for the children to do! It was so clean and immaculate. Unlimited snacks were also served outside all day, including pizza, gyros, salads, hotdogs ice cream, and we also came on the days where they did candy floss and pancakes. Lots of lovely mocktails for the children too. The only negative was that our room was small for a family of 4 and not much storage so had to live out of our suitcases. However, it was very comfortable and very clean and had different fizzy drinks and snacks in the fridge. They also did a night snacks food buffet. They only had dry fruits and cheese and sesame sticks so perhaps some other options would have been nice, perhaps left over pizza! Also, the evening entertainment was really good, but the mini disco for kids could have been longer than half an hour in our opinion as it didn’t seem long enough, especially as the children got excited about this all day. The staff were so nice and helpful, especially as one of us has severe allergies and the catering manager even had a meeting with us which gave us peace of mind, he was great. The area itself was nice but I don’t recommend going to the sea next to the hotel, it is stony and the sea is cold, no sand. However, very nice to have a stroll along. Overall, we definitely recommend this hotel as we had the time of our lives.

absolutely beautiful hotel and ideal place for family, the hotel is big enough and even on vacation it is only 300 meters from the water slide to the sea, just amazing. I also the work of the staff, everything was cleaned and prepared. perfect food by the pool but sometimes it forces you not to go to the restaurant 🙂 but the best was the animator from the Czech Republic Karolína, she explain everything to us, she invited us to yoga and Greek class to practice, actually also on mini golf, darts, etc 🙂 simply lovely, calimera

We’ve just returned from a fantastic family holiday in Crete, and the highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the hotel we stayed in for a week. From the moment Manager Spiros warmly welcomed us to the day we departed, every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. The food was outstanding. The two restaurants Greek and Authentic (serving Japanese and Korean cuisine) were top-notch. The buffet offered a wide variety of both meat and vegetarian options, along with plenty of fresh fruits and fiber-rich choices for a healthy diet. Drinks were available throughout the day, and the cocktails were crafted with fresh fruits, which made them especially refreshing. My daughter and husband absolutely loved the water slides and the pool, while I was enchanted by the beach the turquoise water was breathtaking. Both the sunrise and sunset were magical moments we’ll never forget. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and found a traditional wine waiting for us in our room. Our family suite provided the perfect space to relax and recharge. Each evening, we looked forward to the entertainment, and the fireworks display was truly spectacular. The hotel’s location is another major plus close to Chania and the historic Knossos Palace. We also visited the stunning Elafonissi Beach, which was a highlight of our trip. Renting a car gave us the flexibility to explore and still return to the hotel for meals and swims. If you're planning a holiday in Crete, this hotel is a must. I’d give a perfect 10 out of 10 for cleanliness and the warmth of the staff. Thank you for having us we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Right let’s start this review with if u don’t have children choose somewhere else! I will start with the bad points, the rooms are really small especially the bathroom it’s not the end of the world but it’s hard to get ready as a family in there! The buffet is hard 2 get a seat it would work better if they had people showing u 2 your table, and finally it’s understaffed big queues getting drinks sometimes and the pool area doesn’t get cleaned enough! Now none of these things really affect your holiday 2 much but it can b improved! The food is ok not great! The snack bar is really good and open all day! The drinks are great especially the cocktails the staff are great and pools and slides are the best part the kids loved them so overall a good holiday but only if u got kids!!

We spent a wonderful two weeks at Atlantica. The food was very good with a wide selection. The children’s club and its staff were amazing. The lifeguards were super friendly and fantastic with the children. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The restaurants were excellent, with the Greek one being particularly outstanding 👏. The pool bar staff were very friendly, especially the lady who was there most of the day. The spa offered excellent massages. The only point for improvement would be the bathrooms, which could have been cleaner, particularly around the shower. Overall, we had an amazing stay and will definitely be coming back.

Just returned from this lovely Hotel which was perfect for our Grandchildren aged 2,5 and 6. Food was excellent and always hot. I don’t know how anyone could complain. I’m a very fussy eater and never struggled. Drinks were very good. Cocktails always made fresh and not out of a machine which is usually the case. We found the rooms adequate for the amount of time we spent in them. Yes the bathrooms are small but you cope with what you’ve got. The Asian and particularly the Greek restaurants were lovely. Didn’t have any trouble getting a booking. We loved the relaxed atmosphere with nothing being too much trouble for anyone. Our Grankids loved the disco in the evening also the bouncy castle area. Slides and particularly the splash park and shallow water in the main swimming pool were a big hit. Our only gripe was the lack of anywhere much to walk to in the evening but then we knew that when we booked. It was lovely to walk down to the beach for a change of scenery. We did have a meal in the Wave restaurant one evening which was a bit pricey but lovely and something different to do in the evening. Overall this was a fabulous hotel for our needs. Our 11 day stay was perfect and we do hope to return. Would I recommend. Definately especially if you have young children

MUST read before booking!! Firstly i never write reviews, but i felt compelled to do so after our recent stay at the Atlantica Ocean beach resort Food & drink 3* Rooms 2* entertainment 3* Pool and slides 4* As a family of 4 booking in August it wasn’t a cheap holiday, we arrived at 1am and directed to our room trying to carry 3 suitcases, 3 hand luggage bags and two very tired children under 8. within 1 minute of walking through the door my wife wanted to leave, the room was shockingly small. the room was just big enough to hold 4 beds. there was also a foul smell coming from the bathroom which got worse depending on the time of day and the show has seen better days. after complaining to reception we were told we should have read the small print regarding bedroom size. we spoke to other families who had similar experiences on arrival. one women broke down in tears on the first night because she was that upset with the room. The food was ok, the main buffet restaurant had different themes every night but if going for more than 7 day you would experience the same themes. the kids selection was the same every night with chicken nuggets and fish fingers on rotation, no pizza or burgers. also there was no service so unlike other all inclusive resorts where you are asked what would you like to drink and to be seated. the ala carte restaurants i can’t complain however, we did have to go into main buffet for the kids to get some food after going to the asian cuisine restaurant. the pool bar food was good for a snack offering pizza, burgers, hotdogs, kebabs wraps and fresh salads. Also the ice-cream pallor offered 5 flavours and everyday they did a special, candy floss, popcorn or pancakes. drink wise it’s all local sports and if you want certain cocktails or branded sprits you had to pay extra. slushes were €3 each which i thought was a joke! the cocktails were alright however, it did depend on which member of staff served you. The water slides and slash park were the best bit of the holiday. the kids loved them. if you get up early enough and claim certain sun beds by 7am you can position yourself so you can see both. especially helpful if you have kids of a certain age gap. lifeguard’s were brilliant and the staff were generally good. overall left disappointed and like i said i felt i needed to write this review to help others not make the same mistake and spend money on this resort.
