"Peaceful place to stay"

8.0

Charming quiet boutique hotel. Nice land around to walk. Lots of sheep nearby. Not far from Broadway town. Beautiful town with great shops and places to eat. Good parking. Rooms are very cozy, clean with great beds. Needs more light if you want to read a book. Bathroom needs installation of hooks and some shelves. Even shower is shelf less, no place to put body gel and shampoo except on the floor. Our building didn’t have elevator and we had to carry our luggages by our self to the second floor on very narrow stairs. Breakfast was ok. Dinner menu very limited. But we ate in different towns we were visiting that day.

"Form over Function"

6.0

Far too much “Form over Function.” The hotel reception can be contacted only by WhatsApp but unfortunately in our case two messages were not replied to in 30m. If you call the main outside tel no one is told to make enquiries online . Our room had no heating as they were getting to it the week after we left . The cushioned seats in the dining room show it was very much form to the fore as an adult could not eat properly On the plus side the food was excellent and the manager recognised the poor service with a good discount . Most of the staff were keen but ill managed .

"A charming wonderful stay"

10.0

A charming and whimsically wonderful nights stay at this Cotswold hidden gem of a hotel. Beautiful views from the terrace and exemplary food. I had the lamb and baklava for dinner and it was delicious. Staff all lovely, warm and welcoming. Rooms were superb. I sunk into the bed after a 13k ebrington circular hike around the Cotswolds. The hotel was spotless clean and comfortable with a snug room with a vinyl record player which added to the charm and class. We got the bed and breakfast deal which includes a luxurious continental breakfast. I had overnight chia followed the full English. Best black pudding I've ever had. Great value for money considering all of this and I can't wait for my next visit. No noise from my bedroom other than a classical radio station quietly playing on a very cool looking radio when I checked into my room! The room came with robes, slide ones, all necessary electricals and a coffee machine. We stayed one night as we are off to oasis at wembley tomorrow so it just added to what will be a wonderful experience and weekend!

"Disappointing stay. "

6.0

We have stayed here 3 times and this last visit was disappointing with all the changes. It has new owners, who are lovely. The hotel has lost its charm of an English manor & has been renamed to reflect this. It no longer has spa facilities..the pool has been demolished. Our room was still the same style and very comfortable… although loud base music resonated from the ground floor all day. This can be quite stressful especially if you want to chill. The new style dining room is more like dining in a airport terminal restaurant than a luxurious hotel. Parking is now a bit of a walk as a stylish drive round island is now in place. In the past you could park outside and this was very convenient. Breakfast was very nice and the staff serving it were lovely…they could not have done enough…a very friendly bunch. In the past this hotel although expensive has been value for money…unless things change I don’t think we will return… I appreciate updates have to be made but some of these change’s appear to be change for change sake. They have spent a lot of money. We have recommended this hotel to quite a few friends…shame. Hope they take some of these comments on board.

A great boutique hotel for a quiet getaway. Friendly staff and very nice breakfast too. Rooms are a good sized, although a little dark even with the lights on. The TV in our room was quite small for the size of the room but we didn't watch much on the TV anyway so didn't bother us.

"Excellent"

8.0

This hotel has a wonderful location and a superb choice if you want to look at far reaching views. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much troublel. The restaurant and seating areas are excellent. The rooms are a bit tired and there is limited sound protection in some rooms. Parking very easy.

Very attractive manor house from the outside, but some of the rooms have been refurbished with everything painted same shade of chocolate brown. Walls, ceiling, even the radiator all same shade of brown, and situation is really not helped by very subdued lighting. Some might consider it trendy, but we thought more of a dungeon vibe going on. Staff, however, were very attentive and helpful and we managed to get rooms changed to something brighter! Not sure how many rooms have the brown palette applied, but be aware. Various lounges and restaurant in main house were all attractive and food was good.
