3/5. Bottom floor is brutal since we were above the restaurant and patio. Lots of noise and smoke coming into our room. The room become very hot due to the fact we had to close it due to the noise and smoke. Breakfast was covered in flies as well.

The hotel is a fairly long walk from the train station, but it's an easy one. The hotel is just next to the cable car to Schilthorn, which is great. The front desk closes about 4-5 p.m., so if you arrive after that make sure to contact them. Very clean. Very nice staff.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Alpenruh!! Cannot say enough about this beautiful area! We had a perfect balcony looking across at the Monch Eiger and Jungfrau - you cannot beat that! Was so fun to see it at all times of the day and night. The room was spacious and very comfortable and it is right next to the Cable car, so very convenient for travelling the area and we were not bothered by any noise. We also had a wonderful dinner in their restaurant!

Amazing location! Excellent views. The information I received from Travelocity stated the hotel would take a 20 Swiss Francs deposit. When I checked out the person at the desk told me they do not do that and charged me full price. Not a fun conversation. Seems like Travelocity could get their information right.

Beautifully situated hotel. Staff polite and helpful. Only drawback was the major construction project right next to the hotel which did take away from the beautiful views.

Alpenruh had a great staff, delicious dining, beautiful views, and comfy, clean rooms. It was very close to the cable car drop off on the east side of town, so that was convenient. The balcony was spacious, and the room was a decent size too. It was very quiet. Staff let us store our luggage onsite both on early arrival and late departure to and from Mürren. There is a lovely walk from Mürren down to Gimmelwald that takes about 30 minutes.
