"Exceptional"

10.0

We booked 4 hotels with Hotels.com and this hotel had the lowest rating of the 4. I do not understand it because this was definitely the BEST of the 4 hotels. It had extras that you do not always find in 5 star hotels. There were 3 of us and we had 2 rooms. Both were excellant value, I recommend having the breakfast. We will definitely go again.

"Lovely little hotel in the Albaicin"

10.0

Lovely little hotel, perfectly placed on the side of Albaicin - my single room on the fourth floor had a view of the Alhambra. Newly renovated, so in good order, and there's a lift. The staff are very helpful.

" bags of character and first class location "

8.0

This is a gem of a hotel, our room was spotless, had a decent shower, comfy bed and a view to die for!! There is a great little café adjoining the hotel to have breakfast. Alhambra region, Sacromonte, taxi/tourist info/ are all within walking distance. The location was perfect.

"Good"

We used the filter for car parking, this hotel stated it had parking. The only parking was in a public carpark 10 minutes walk, and cost 25 euros per day. Otherwise, the location is amazing, and the rooms quaint.

"Quiet but centrally located with a great view."

8.0

This is a great little hotel. The building was obviously renovated and some of the decor in the lobby is somewhat old and dated but overall this was a great little hotel. The room we had was 202 it’s a room in the roof section that’s rather large and accessed by a spiral staircase. The room was clean and comfortable but simple. The second room was 403, this room was a little more updated and had a great view of the Alhambra out of both windows. Some people left some terrible comments here about this hotel - like the towels are sandpaper-like or that you can hear the plumbing/water etc. Yeay the towers are sun dried so they aren’t super soft but they just feel stiff, nothing bad. As far as noise - we never heard anything other than people going into their rooms as they passed by our door. It was very quiet and pleasant. Somethings were broken - for instance, the bathroom lock, latch had a missing nail, and the card holder that controls the main power to the room was pulled out of the wall but these are so minor, for the price and how often we went in our room, this made no difference.

I have stayed here many times and love it. Perfect location on the prettiest street in Granada. Always have a room with a view of Alhambra palace. Well worth staying here.

"Old world charm in a beautiful city"

8.0

Lovely traditional property with lots of beautiful features. Pretty little courtyard area where reception is located. The room was very spacious with a nice sitting area. Good spacious bathroom. The only criticism is the room was quite dark with the older furniture but I loved the four poster bed. Additional lightening would have helped. I found the bedside lamps did not work. The fridge was very noisy so I had to unplug at night as this would have disturbed sleep. The view from the room was stunning. Being situated above a busy street there was some pedestrian noise at night and you could also hear passing cars but given the position in the heart of Granada that was to be expected.

"Traditional accommodation great location"

8.0

Old building with interior courtyard. Very helpful staff. Great location for Albaicin, Plaza Nueva and The Alhambra. Walk to Alhambra is quite short but steep so tiring in heat. Rooms simple but traditional and was comfortable and clean. Loads of places to eat near by.

"Good location but tired accommodation"

6.0

The hotel certainly has character, with lots of dark wood and tiles and is in a good location for a new visitor to Granada who wants to be able to walk to the Alhambra, Albayzin, Sacromonte and other places of interest. However, the rooms are in need of refurbishment and look shabby and uncared for - a few repairs to plasterwork, a coat of paint, overhaul of bathrooms, proper fitting curtains and some new furniture would make such a difference. The staff were pleasant and the rooms properly cleaned. It was lovely to have a (partial) view of the Alhambra but, being on the main road, coupled with very thin walls between rooms made it a noisy location.
