Hôtel Sawa

Very old hotel in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool area great for sunset drink and snack.

Old hotel in need of some renovation, the grounds were nice especially out by the pool area, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

AC didn't go below 23deg, rooms are in desperate need of attention, there is a new lobby area being built. The pool and garden are a very nice place to relax and unwind, very friendly & helpful staff.

One of the better hotels in Douala. Spacious and good value for money. Under renovation at present but hotel operates normally. Probably my first choice for value if I am staying in Douala on business. Large swimming pool. Pleasant staff but check-in can be a bit congested.

We have stayed at the Sawa Hotel on two different trips. We are always excited to arrive there. They have a nice restaurant attached to the hotel, with a buffet style service. The tap water always has plenty of pressure and hot which is a nice change from several hotels we have been in. The air conditioning is always working well and the linens on the bed and in the restroom are always clean. It is our choice hotel when we are in Douala.

I stay at the SAWA on business fairly regularly. It is an older property and you can have issues in the room on occasion with things such as the AC. Service is very good with some great. The outside eating area is very nice but the inside is a bit lacking. They do keep the rooms clean, pool is nice and a bit crazy on the weekends with families. WiFi is very spotty and I would recommend getting a local hotspot.

The structure is beautiful though old. The room is spacious and clean too. The food is good too. The receptionists are wonderful. The restaurant inside the hotel is a beautiful and clean area. I went there with my fiancé and we had a wonderful time. It has easy access to the road side too.

Located in a cleaner and safe part of the city with easy access to city centre. Though the hotel is bit old, yet the spacious rooms and surroundings adequately compensate . The facilities are all in house and the pool facing rooms have great views. One big let down was the number of flies while having meals at the poolside. Overall a pleasant stay.

Spent one night here while on business in Douala. The hotel is a little tired but is good value. My room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom. The Sunday brunch was served in the restaurant by the pool and there was a great choice of local and western dishes. There is free Wi-fi but service is intermittent. The staff were friendly and helpful.
