Lodestar Waterside Apartments

The appartment was not properly clean on arrival. There was blood stains on the matters and a vulgar drawing of a naked person that a previous person left. I have photos of required

I loved the fountains in the pictures for the apartments but was a bit disappointed to find that they had been a bit neglected. We had a lovely stay - only issue was with loud noises and talking from whoever was in the apartment above us. This was on and off between 11:20pm and 1:40am when the note for the Quiet Time states no loud noises between 10pm and 7am. The noises woke my Husband up who initially thought it was our 3 older kids making a racket in their room but they were fast asleep and also woke up our youngest daughter. Other than that, the staff were very friendly, our beds were very comfy and the rooms were neat and tidy.

Nothing, other than it was a place to sleep. Photos are misleading, not waterfront at all. Facing highway, noisy and poorly airconditioned.

Only given 2 towels when our apartment was serviced. We asked for more towels (family) of 4 and we were told the cleaner would send more towels but they never arrived. There were two big cockroaches one running around kitchen and one in laundry sink. The floor at the entrance of the apartment was always wet from a leak somewhere. No hand soap provided for kitchen just watered down dish soap. No servicing on the weekends. the only window that could be opened was the bathroom. There was a sliding door that has a fly screen that could be left open for air however you could not lock fly screen to secure your belongings. There was a funny chemical smell constantly in the bedroom. The good things were all the amenities and how close they were to the beautiful south Perth foreshore and Perth CBD.

Unfortunately this property is majorly in need of updating. The carpet and furniture were in poor condition with stains on the couch. Pulled out the sofa bed to find it filthy underneath. No sheets were supplied for it either. Broken handles on drawers, no cloth provided to wipe down surfaces while staying so had to use the tea towel. The fridge also froze everything you put in it even when it was turned to it’s lowest setting. The location is right by a freeway but was reasonably quiet. We didn’t feel safe there with a sign on the door stating to deadbolt when in the apartment and had somebody knocking on a window at night.

The property is great location with parking, however very tired looking The lamp wansnt working in bedroom. The shower was the tiniest I have ever seen, it was like a half shower.... The is in bad need of a facelift... Un

The photos of this property a highly photoshopped, doesn't give the most realistic view of where you're staying. The sofa bed in my room stuck up at one end so the couch was pretty much rendered useless. I tried pulling it out and returning it into the sofa, but it stayed pretty much the same. The reverse cycle aircon barely cooled down the lounge let alone the rest of the apartment. The parking isn't clear, and not labelled. I got yelled at by 2 permanent residents of the complex for parking in "their spot" even though those particular parking spots weren't labelled. Not enough parking for the whole complex even though it was stated there was. Door looked like someone had broken into it recently - wood was all chipped away around the lock. Shower was recessed into the floor luckily, as the shower base filled up with 3 inches of water quite quickly after turning it on - didn't feel very great at all. Next time I am in Perth I won't be staying here.

Affordable accommodation located close to Mends Street shops and South Perth foreshore, and good public transport options. Didn't like that the apartments are not well maintained - eg. TV remote control didn't work, basin had no plug, etc., and location is close to Kwinana Freeway and noisy at night.
