Location, biscuits, mirrors, pillows, decor, bed was comfy if a little narrow for a queen..

Dark rown stain marks on the hand towel, no hot water for shower, noisy, drunk bar guests, small room, creaky floors and doors, tiny window so room was dark. It was not worth £144 per night, not enough non decaf coffee, not enough plug points without unplugging the lamps. Advised a staff member of the issues but he didn’t really know what to say, just said it was an “old hotel so…” That doesn’t really explain why I had brown stains on my towels and some of the other things. I didn’t really think it an adequate response. Unfortunately there was one at the reception to speak to about the issues. The only people around were in the bar and they kept saying “we work in the bar so…”

Location and old world charm

Shabby. Fan not working in bathroom. Insufficient hangers.

The hotel generally was fine and the bar sensibly priced.

The breakfast was overpriced and not very good

The wife and I stayed for one night and had a very enjoyable time. The evening meal was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean spacious room. Dog friendly
