Breakfast way too expensive.

Room was beautiful and spacious Bed was comfy and spacious Didn’t have breakfast (left early) but menu seemed great!

Central location. Tetbury is a lovely market town. Clean room. Comfortable bed although smaller than we'd booked.

Rooms were not all as described and paid for. No mention of some rooms being outside the main hotel. When we protested that one couple from our family party were being housed in a room outside the main building, which would have involved a cold wet walk from this accommodation to the hotel to meet other family members, the replacement room we were given was much smaller than we had booked and paid for. This room was on the top floor of the hotel up steep staircases with no lift. We are elderly. Shower pressure and temperature were dour. I had one decent shower during a 3 night stay when I deliberately got up at 6.30am. Shower also involved climbing into the high sided bath.

First impressions here are really very good. Set virtually slap bang in the middle of Tetbury, The Ormund’s ground floor public facing rooms give off a cool and welcoming vibe which we really liked. Staff too are great, helpful and seemingly keen to make guest stays enjoyable. They were, without exception, first rate. But the accommodation rooms themselves lack refinement and in need of some much-needed investment. Times are tough I know, but there really is no excuse for a poor quality shower and towels and pillows so thin as to be virtually useless. Decor too could do with a bit of a makeover. Ours at least gave off an unwelcome 90s vibe. The restaurant offering is limited and service a little slow. Breakfast, at an exhorbitant £25 a head, was poor and simply not worth the money. Go elsewhere is my advice when it comes to their morning offering! Having said that, generally the place still offered ok’ish value for money which, with just a little refinement, could be oh so much better!

The Ormond is in the heart of Tetbury so within walking distance of the Tetbury trails and some interesting shops. Parking in the long term car park was free and a short walk away. Our room was spacious and super clean with a very comfortable bed and a view onto the Main Street. Our stay included breakfast and evening meal - the food was freshly cooked and delicious. The atmosphere in the hotel is very welcoming - this is down to the staff who were pleasant and helpful. A special mention for Kerry who was very efficient and friendly at breakfast times and to Jay who was extremely helpful when I rang with some queries. He did book us in and was so professional and friendly. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Central location and close to Badminton for horse trials

Small room, no hot water on first morning. Had a cold shower. When I mentioned this to staff I was asked what time I tried to shower. When I said 07.45 the response was 'that's quite early'. I was amazed by this.

Location was perfect..

Parking was a pain as there were parking restrictions on the road & in the short stay car park close by
