Nomads Queenstown Backpackers

Great location. 2-10 minutes walking distance to most places of interest. very helpful staff and clean. Only negative side is that it is next to restaurants who turn into clubs at night. The sliding doors are not soundproof so you will here the booms of the music until abouts 1-2 am. Not the best if you have early morning activities. But other than that, nothing but positives.

Clean room with beautiful mountain views. Cool rooftop bar restaurant. The service was great but Marianne from Montreal at the activities counter was so wonderful!! She made it so easy to book our skydiving experience and not only was informative but very honest so there was no room for surprise costs.

Stayed in a twin room last Sep2019. It was not as comfortable as expected. AC not working. Toilet and shower not comfortable. Location, tidiness and overall staff service are good though.

The room is clean and tidy, but the music of the pub on the other side of the road was really noisy. The place is quite close to the town center.

I liked the overall property. Didn’t like needing an app or really long password to open my door.

Very large kitchen/lounge area with lots of seating and food storage, theatre room was a nice touch. Perfect location for day entertainment as well as night life. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful with booking activities. Room service came in multiple times a day (3x) which was a bit strange (along with zero alcohol rule) but an awesome stay overall!

Really impressed with the King Room with en-suite on the third floor. Like a hotel room. The only downside was the noise from the nightclubs in the alley below. Especially loud on a Friday night.

Such a nice place to stay you definitely get 10x the value for money. Recommend to all!

Nomads is a good place to stay because it is handy to the gardens and Lake Wakatipu and shops and restaurants and bars.
