Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann Luzern

This historic hotel has the best staff, wonderful rooms, beautiful antiques and is located in a perfect location.

Cozy hotel smack in the middle of everything, with really sweet and considerate staff. But don’t be tempted to take something from the mini-bar, even if the small bottle of white wine reads like a gift “Nice to have you stay with us”. Had to pay 28 CH for it, just over 30 EUR. And it wasn’t even good! Lesson learned.

If your personal or business travels take you to Luzern, you must stay at the Hotel Wilden Mann. You will feel like you are transported back in history, but with modern conveniences. There is an excellent breakfast spread and the coffee is served hot.

This hotel is a very pleasant place to stay on the flat in the old town and suited our party as we had a member who would have struggled with a hilly area. The staff were welcoming, very friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice was good each morning. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is a historic gem in Lucerne. It’s bursting with character and old world charm, and we found all our rooms to be spacious, clean and well looked after. The breakfast had plenty of fresh options and unlimited drinks which saved us money and time finding local breakfast places. The location is perfect, easy to get to from the train station and close to everything you need for a short visit. The staff were exceptional, in particular answering queries and requests ahead of our arrival and ensuring we had a first floor room that supported one of our party’s physical needs.

The only slight issue is that as it’s an old building there isn’t much sound proofing in the rooms. We stayed on floor one and could hear the people in rooms above us walking around. Luckily they didn’t stay up late!

Our family (American; husband and wife with two young kids) stayed at the Wilden Mann for 3 nights during Easter vacation. From service to decor to location, the hotel was idyllic. An exemplary romantic boutique hotel—the highlight of our week in Switzerland. We look forward to returning!

Good location, just one street back from river. Very old property. Comfortable room, and plenty of storage. Extra pillow provided which was good. Nice sitting areas No coffee in room, but a machine provided so possible to have coffee anytime. Complimentary water provided.

Nothing
