Romantik Hotel Wilden Mann Luzern

Staff was helpful and very pleasant - Domique was terrific - helped with specific requests. The original room we booked was a little cramped, so we upgraded to a Jr. Suite with an updated bathroom. This is an older hotel in the heart of the city, and it expresses the charm of the area.

The location is great, right in the middle of a bustling centre and a 10 minute walk from the train station. I can only comment on the breakfast (as we are out for other meals) which was continental and had a good choice and variety. Room service was great and left a little note with the next days weather forecast and a few ideas on where to visit during your stay. The room itself was comfortable. We were only there for 2 nights so it suited us. The bathroom was very small but had everything that we needed. The only drawback was that it was hot in the room and no air conditioning. It wasn't particularly hot when we went as it was April so I wouldn't like to be in there at the height of summer. The windows opened fully but because of the location it was very noisy. The local bar which is right opposite the hotel closed at 1.30 a.m the first night and 2.30 a.m the second night and because they have outdoor seating area it was very loud and you can hear everything. We thought it would be OK because we could have a lie in the next day but no. The deliveries started at 6 a.m with trucks coming and going unloading to various businesses which are located right next to the hotel. It is a good location and right at the the heart of the area but that comes with the hustle and bustle of a very busy social aspect. Maybe in winter when people don't sit outside drinking and you can have the windows shut it would be OK but I wouldn't stay there again

The location of the hotel was fantastic. An easy walk to the train station and to restaurants. Very charming atmosphere and a lovely outdoor terrace restaurant onsite. Very helpful young lady on the reception desk.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived at approximately 1:45 p.m. and were refused, despite the website showing lunch opening until 2:00 p.m. This is the second time this has happened. If new guests are not accepted after 1:45 p.m., then the website should clearly say “last seating at 1:45 p.m.” Publishing 2:00 p.m. creates a reasonable expectation that guests can still be admitted before then.

This was our 4th visit to Lucerne and we chose this historic boutique hotel. It was a great stay and everything and everyone were of high standards. Our room was a corner room facing a charming small square with a fountain(see picture). We loved the view with only one concern: the constant late night/early morning noise from people taking loudly from I assume 3 bar/restaurants located below on the strasse. Surprisingly enough, as we mentioned our concern as we were checking out, the front desk had never heard anyone “mentioning” it. Having said that, our stay was a very pleasant one and we appreciated all the staff at every turn, especially Tenzin at front desk. THANK YOU ALL. We will certainly consider you for our next visit.
