Excellent destination with good facilities and wonderful staff. Free Wifi, and free parking with rooms with tub and shower and some with showers only. Small but adequate gym, close to excellent retstaurants (recommend the pizza and ice cream). Some rooms have balconies overlooking the Marina (definately get one of them) and then there was room 26!! Marina Place is about 15-20 minutes taxi ride from downtown and oldtown, so taxi or car will be needed for sightseeing. I was working in Genoa and my wife came along for the visit and she stayed in the hotel whilst I was working. The staff were incredible in taking care of her, with the restaurant and reception staff especially going out of their way to make her stay comfortable and enjoyable. Situated on the marina and directly next to the Genoa airport, we were intially a bit dissapointed by the location as getting there is not a pleasant ride, going past the docks, through container yards etc, and you would expect a lot of noise from the airport, but in fact is very small and apart from the odd plane is quiet. The staff are outstanding, when our aircon didnt work they moved us to a different room, and we decided to upgrade and were given room 26. AMAZING! There are fantastic restaurants and gelatarias on your doorstep, as well as a nice bar, and the views are magnificent across the marina to the hills. Rooms are large, quiet and very comfortable. Ironing board on request with coffee and tea in rooms. Would saty here every time!

This was my first stay at MarinaPlace Resort and Spa and overall I was most impressed. The Hotel is quite small with only 28 rooms making it ideal for those guests who prefer a more personalised stay. I was visiting Genoa on business so had very little time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the Port area.

Amazing hotel with great views of a Marina. We just stayed one night but we have a excellent time.

There was no hot water in both of the rooms we had when we checked in and still no hot water 2 days later so we checked out and changed hotel. too bad cause it was a nice place

superb place to stay over and my family really enjoys it so much. Rooms are big and clean. Very big washroom with amenities. Nothing to complain about. The view is fascinating with yachts all around when you look through the windows. Can enjoy a short walk in the evening with nice views.

Had an extended stay here, the room was nice overall, although there is a bit of light pollution from the parking lot on one side and marina on other. Blackout curtains help, but then you can't wake up to the view of the marina or Mediterranean (over the airport runway, but still very visible), darker colored walls would be better. Breakfast was nice, staff courteous and bilingual, several nearby restaurants and lots of boats to look at. Not real convenient for the old city, about 10 minute walk to the train station, from there all of Italy is available. comparing price to others in area I'd say an excellent deal.

Persevere with this place if you're in the area because despite the satnav taking you through an old port area, keep pressing on into the free car park at the very end of the road and you'll find a clean, bright, spacious, contemporary and comfortable hotel with HUGE balconies overlooking the marina. The restaurant didn't appear to be operating but there are several in the marina. CLOSE your balcony doors in late afternoon or you'll be devoured by mosquitos during the night!.

The receptionist was so welcoming and helpful charming

I enjoyed my stay. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very well equipped. Waterfall shower and complimentary amenities. I stayed here because working at the airport and had my doubts whilst walking there (should have taken a cab as it was raining, but only. 20 min walk), but all the staff were pleasant and the marina was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and I would like to return when not on business.
