We absolutely loved our stay at Renaissance hotel. There is so much space, it almost feels you are the only guest - giving you all the privacy you need. I would also like give my shout out to their welcoming staff, who have been so lovely! A special thaks to R and Aod who made this whole experience very memorable!

Have to agree this hotel certainly is a very good one ! The friendliness of staff everyone we met over two weeks no compliancy just a genuine smile, warmth and care. The housekeeping is top notch beautifully clean rooms nothing too much trouble. Another plus here is the way sun beds are distributed and over two weeks we never felt the pressure to be up early to join the grab club! The guys are on it there’s plenty of options and a very large lawn to accommodate big pads, deck chairs, curvy beds, bean bags and more it’s a great idea. Breakfast was as organised as any buffet I’ve been to in a large hotel catering for large numbers it flowed. Excellent Thai restaurant above the pool bar really delicious dishes our favourite. The sandpit a good haunt for lunch and pre dinner sunset drinks. Free bikes to ride around do cycle round the lake it’s a pretty jaunt! Couple of bars in the area if you fancy a change and a little wander. Would we return yes we would !

Love this place! I’ve visited the Renaissance with my family since I was very young. I’ve come here on average twice a year every year (excluding COVID) and continue to do so at 16 years old. I’ve always enjoyed the amazing services provided and the super friendly and warm hospitality that the staff provide. Over the years, I’ve come to know members of the staff and I get to see them every time I visit! I’m so grateful for them because they always go above and beyond for the guests they serve. The rooms are great and have always felt like a good break from home. They’re different, premium, and easy to want to relax in. I love their villas as well, which I stay in every once in a while. They’re spacious and they’re like a mini home with a Renaissance flair, which I’ve always adored. The feel of the hotel is honestly really nice. It’s relaxing, and it feels like you can disconnect from the rest of the world, in the best way possible. I’ll always love coming here and I hope that I will always be able to come back every year for the rest of my life. However, with my most recent trip in March of 2026, I’ve noticed that over the years, there have been an accumulation of little things that leave something to be desired. For example, they no longer serve water automatically to you at the poolside, which used to be customary and normal. It should still be; it can get very hot with the tropical climate and the afternoon sun, and so the fact that the hotel, or the Marriott, which owns the Renaissance string of resorts, have decided that they no longer want to provide such a crucial service is very sad and disappointing to see. It’s nothing less than a grab for more cash from its guests, which already pay a lot to stay here- or at least that’s what it seems on the surface level. Instead of providing the water, which they would constantly refill, like they have done in the past, they now make you buy an 8 dollar bottle of water (around 200 baht), which gives you less than a litre of water. This means that, with the very hot weather, you’re spending 8 dollars every hour or so. This certainly accumulates for families, like my family of 4, that have to buy more bottles to accommodate for how much water they drink compared to 2 people. I’ve also noticed that prices have increased year after year. I looked at the menu during my recent trip to find that half of it is priced at 700+ baht per dish, which is ridiculous for a casual dinner; there were many dishes priced at 1000+. There are certainly still dishes for more normal prices but it seems like they’re starting to really increase prices, which add up on top of other costs from the rest of one’s stay. The fact that their pricing are slowly hiking upwards is really saddening, especially for families like mine who have remained loyal yearly customers for over 10 years. It shows that the Marriott is caring more and more for whoever can “foot” their higher prices and bills and less for its loyal customers and long-term guests. It becomes even more disappointing when you consider that Marriott International, the parent company of the Renaissance brand, operates at a massive 63% adjusted operating margin. For a company with such healthy profits and billions of dollars in annual returns to its shareholders, seeing them cut back on basic necessities and amenities like free poolside water, not to mention that Restaraunt water used to be free but has also been changed so that you have to purchase the same 200 baht bottle of water, while aggressively hiking prices for loyal, decade-long guests is a poor reflection of their values. It’s these smaller things that start to accumulate and slowly make a visit to this still amazing hotel less desirable. Despite, this I continue to enjoy my trips here, but it would be nice to see whoever is making these small decisions have a change of heart. I hope this bit of constructive criticism can be relayed to the relevant parties at the hotel and the Marriott. This follows my review of this hotel from last year, which was overwhelmingly positive. Though the tone in part of this review may not suggest that this is the same as my last one, I can assure any reader that this review is certainly positive as well. Once again, like in my last review, I’d like to relay my love for this hotel that has remained a central and truly important part of my life growing up as someone who has come every year and made many memories here. I’d again like to relay my deepest gratitude and appreciation to the people who continue to personally elevate my stays, and have done so for so many years, like Khun Kate, Khun R, Khun Pond, Khun Moht, and Khun Fon; there are many others, too! I wish I could remember all of the names of the people who I love be able to see every time I visit. Thank you!

Location : Perfect, only 20 minute from airplane. Atmosphere: perfect, because don't have too much people it's very intimiti. And design looks like live in jungle. Rooms: Very big, with beutiful modern design. Bathroom have shower and big bath. Value: good quality with good design. Cleanliness: It's perfect. Service is very helpfull.

We had a great time here, the beach is so nice and the staff are all very welcoming and accommodating. Dang was great and cleaned our room so nicely and we came back to a clean and comfortable room every night. They have shuttle services to Phuket town and Patong beach, and also the nearby Mai Khao Plaza, so very convenient to get around. I would definitely come back here!

Fantastic location. Lovely beach and warm sea. We stayed in a villa with lunge pool which was immaculate and modern. Food was amazing - great breakfast especially. The staff are so friendly and helpful - truly wonderful. Breakfast staff remembeted our room number (512 and then moved to 527) and what teA and coffee we had every morning for 2 weeks. The beach and Pool guys Aod and Co - were also super helpful. The lady named Palm who cleaned our villa was wonderful. She left lovely notes in the villa and left the villa immaculate every day. We had to stay another 2 weeks in Thailand due to the Middle East situation and when we moved from Phi Phi Island to Mai Khao beach I am so pleased that we chose The Renaissance.
