Canavial I & II Apartments

Great place to stay! Close to the beaches and cliffs, such amazing scenery. Very friendly staff. Hotel has nice gardens, lawns, fruit trees and a pool.

Our stay at Canavial was lovely. The staff are wonderful, especially Theresa, who welcomed us like old friends despite the fact that our transfer was hugely delayed and we didn't get to the apartments until after midnight, and Carol, who is so knowledgeable about the area and went out of her way to explain the best restaurants and beaches. The apartment was spotless, easily the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. The apartment was stocked with everything we needed and more, such as a filter coffee machine - a welcome bonus! The location is great and taking taxis/Uber into town cost us around €4-5 at the most. There are beautiful beaches and scenery within easy walking distance - including the Ponta da Piedade cliffs, which are well worth a visit. Carol told us to go and watch the sunset there as the view is astounding and it's so romantic. Turns out she was right, we got engaged there on our last night in Lagos! All in all, the apartments are fantastic value for money, the staff are second to none and the location is great. We can't wait to come back.

My wife little son and I stayed for two nights at Canavial I & II Apartments. We had a midsized appartment for all of us, which was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The staff was very gentle and helpful (and also easy on the late check-in) and gave us great hints on Lagos and the surrounding area. The city center of Lagos is approximately 30 minutes of walking away, canavial beach just 10 minutes. Also a nice hiking trail along the coast is just a few minutes of walking away. Supermarkets and restaurants can also be found in the close surrouding of the appartments, however especially for the supermarkets a car is helpful. One point is deducted as the appartments are a little long in the tooths and a little bit far from the city center of Lagos. All in all we can totally recommend Canavial I & II Apartments and we would definitely stay there again.

This place! A sheer delight! We arrived after a long road and the lovely Teresa was there to great us. She explained where we were, gave us a map, told us where to find food, shops, the ocean and the tourist attractions. She gave us her cell number in case of any emergency and was there every morning if we had questions about destinations to visit, where to eat and tours. The room was onlooking the outdoor pool and was clean and cozy! We loved our stay and would strongly recommend Cavanial to anyone wanting to visit Lagos!

We had a fantastic week here. The people are very friendly and happy to suport with any inquiry you may have. The cleaning ladies very helpfull and did our room every day even though we didn't felt is needed. This is a 3* hotel so please consider that before setting your expectations. On top of this you have access to a shared swimming pool (1.3m-1.8m) Other people were complaining in reviews about noise through the walls. We didn't notice that too much even though the hotel was not very busy when we were there. It might be a problem if the hotel is fully booked and lots of noisy kids around. Again, we didn't had any issues. Not many shops in the area the nearest small convinience store is 15min walking, two restaurants 10min away on the breach. Overall a good experience, deffinetly considered for future vacations to Lagos.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Kept reception open for my late arrival. Rooms cleaned everyday. Close to beautiful beach and apartments had everything needed. Only down side was that the shower curtain is pretty useless at keeping the water inside so gets in floor wet.

Quiet location but property is showing its age. Beds are very hard and pillows hard and lumpy. Using the shower is a challenge without flooding the bathroom. We loved the proximity to beautiful beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. For short term guests availability of coffee even at a cost would be a nice touch!

The location is great, beaches and beautiful walks near by. It’s jn a safe feeling part of Lagos. The cleaners are very friendly, more so than the reception staff. We were never once asked how our stay was. The rooms are basic, they are fitted with enough utensils to make a basic meal (two electric ring burners and a microwave) it’s fitted with a fridge/freezer. For the price you get what you expect, though the room had a strange smell, mould like in the cupboards, and in the draws/wardrobe... it was very odd and made everything smell a little unpleasant. The only issue with noise is the front door, we slept by room near the front door and it’s very noisy when people are going in and out if it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in a quiet neighbourhood I would recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. In a perfect area with easy access to all beaches, including those hidden and less busy. Room I was in was a bit noisy, be prepared to hear all around you. But besides that no complaints and would definitely stay again! Great value.
