Summit Beach Resort by Resort Collection

Place was so bad. We didn’t stay at all! Nasty nothing like photos.

Stopped in early traveling with 5 kids single parent 2:30 asked for as early as possible check in was rudely told check in starts at 4 took kids to eat came back at 3:55 room not ready so sat in car in the parking lot with 5 kids walking back in every 20 mins or so around 5 upon checking on room again not ready I asked check in is 4 pm right she rudely said no check in starts at 4 and then started to lock up everything the office where you check in closes at 5 then re opens at 8pm she said they would stay until I got room keys so back to the car with 5 kids going stir crazy it was after 6pm before I got keys to room 330 over 2 hours waiting in a car (5 kids) single parent finally going to the room Excited cause it looked really nice on booking site how ever our room was not anything like the advertising pics it was horrible half the stuff in the room was broke dingy dirty looking smelled bad sand flew out of any chair sat in on to your feet the kind of place you won’t walk around in with out shoes on ceiling paint falling down previous people’s hair on the tub and bathroom door hair tie stuck behind shower knob paint on doors was horrible like they were going to paint after one coat quit drawers broke patio furniture rusted bad enough scared to sit on kitchen looked like it was from the 60s not in a good way beds where no better than sleeping on concrete just a horrible condo honestly everyone looking at this stay away from the summit specially room 330

The room was clean and nice, the beach view is awesome and pool below the balcony is nice . However check in is not 4pm, more like 5:30 to 6. Even though you can use the pool, beach and amenities after 12pm, the bathroom showers on first floor are out of service so there is no way to freshen up to go eat. Elevators are crowded, hot and horribly busy. If your checking out the next morning by 10am, then you may want to pack up and load the night before or you'll experience up to an hour wait time to get on and elevator.

Checkin staff ok but long wait, not into room till after 6pm. The condo itself was in need of much upkeep & newer furniture and not at all up to even a basic standard. The amenities at condo were fine and beach lovely, but inside the condo needed help!! Holes in walls, missing door handles and latches, vent covers missing, old furniture, rusted out microwave, broken chair on balcony, etc. At least a maintenance guy came by to look at the big hole in wall and then I showed him all the rest of the issues, so that’s something.

I generally like the condo but our unit had many roaches. The unit was sprayed while we were there but I was uncomfortable about it.

It smelled like someone legit died inside

We have a family of 7 and this condo accommodated us perfectly with the space! That’s about all the good I can say. The front 2 bedrooms stayed very hot if you didn’t leave the doors open at all times. Everything was outdated and not much worked. Half the outlets didn’t work, some were hanging out of the wall and some would spark when you tried to use them. The dryer wouldn’t dry at all. The dishwasher would run water but that’s it. Dishwasher also smelled like fish when you tried to use it. The bedrooms looked like they just randomly put leftover old furniture. All the beds were so incredibly uncomfortable! We stayed 3 nights and the 3 adults backs hurt so bad we couldn’t wait to leave! The elevators…..beyond packed, not working half the time, and hot as hell!!!

Okay so first, i never received a notice that the lobby of the hotel closed at 5, therefore when we arrived at 11:45 pm we were not able to check in. Second, I never received my room number or a room code but I did receive a confirmation saying that I booked this hotel. Well the hotel would not let us check in without the room number. I was in the phone with vrbo for 8 hours trying to figure where the hell I was laying my head the next night. Overall it was a terrible experience and I was not able to enjoy my vacation. Oh yeah also the person who owns the hotel never replied to any of my messages. So good luck

Love the summit. The elevators are slow but other than that, it’s an enjoyable place to stay!! We will definitely be back ❤️
